*** I might make a little city-trip to London sometime next month, so I could bring the bass and meet up somewhere around the city centre to hand over the bass in person. *** Checked with the lugage scales this morning and she weighs in at 3,2kg. / 7.05lbs. I've also added a good compressor as a partial trade option. Looking for the Origin Cali compact bass, Empress, Diamond bass comp or EBS multicomp. Also, forgot to mention in the OP that I will source a hardcase for it (Thomann) if I have to ship the bass, to ensure safe shipping. Feel free to send me a PM if you have any questions. 😉👍 ps: added a few more pictures made in daylight today (since we haven't seen al lot of that lately)

This is a custom order Cazpar 5p (finished december 2021) from Mensinger guitars in Germany. Per my specific request this Cazpar is superlightweight for a 5-string weighing in at just 3,201kg. and due to the Hipshot Ultralite tuners and Brass bridge she is also perfectly balanced both sitting down and on a strap. The B-string sounds incredibly tight on this bass (probably due to the carbon reinforcement rods in the neck), you almost have to feel it to believe how tight and defined the low B is despite the shorter scale, Mensinger really knocked the ball out of the park with this design! Alas, I came to the realisation that I almost never use the B-string so I usually end up playing my (4string) Jazz basses instead of this one, which is a real shame as this beauty deserves to be played and loved. Therefore I would prefer to trade this with a lightweight, medium scale 4 string bass, preferably a jazz or ACG of some sort. Will consider straight trades or a trade with cash my way. The bass comes with fitting, high quality Mensinger gigbag (Will buy a Thomann hardcase for shipping once she sells), and all the tools and paperwork that came with it. As you can see in the pictures I changed the black dome knobs with black, aluminum Sadowsky-style knobs, apart from that everything is still original on the bass. Even though she's only been gigged once, she has seen some use in the first couple of months after I bought her, so there are a couple of small blemishes, and although you probably wouldnt even notice any of these in real life I thought I should mention them anyway. I went over the whole bass today looking at every detail from different angles and I tried to capture all the blemisches on picture as detailed as I could (see last pictures). And as you can see in the pictures there's a small dent on the tip of the headstock from the inevitable collision with one of the cymbals of our drummers drumkit, there's also two very small scratches in the finish on the sides of the body, one on the top side and one close to the jack input, and there's some light wear on the finish in the area where I rested my forearm whilst playing (almost impossible to photograph as it's only visible under certain lighting/angles, but I tried to capture it as best as I could). Most visible wear is the paint that wore off of some parts of the bridge which probably happened when I transported the bass in a gigbag when we were driving to the studio earlier this year.🙄 Other than the little flaws mentioned above she's absolutely perfect, I've only used flatwound strings on this bass, so the stainless steel frets have no wear at all. The neck and fretboard is pristine, feels like a dream to play and she's probably one of the most ergonomic basses I've ever laid my hands on. She just had a pro set-up with a fresh set of Marusczcyk roundwound strings (45-130) which make this little beast sound huge, and I will also include the Dunlop short scale flatwounds I had on there in the sale. I paid close to 2000Euros/1730GBP for this bass and she's definitely worth every penny I paid for her, so this is your chance to get an amazingly good custom shop instrument for a lot less money and without the waiting time. CONSTRUCTION: Bolt-on BODY: Alder back & Bubinga A++ grade top NECK: One piece Maple with two Carbon reinforcement rods for extra stability POSITION MARKERS: Black dots on the fingerboard & Green Luminlay dots on the side of the neck RADIUS: 14" FINGERBOARD: Maple STRINGS: 5 FRET: 22 stainless steel, medium sized frets SCALE: 30" FINISH: Gloss polyurethane finish ELECTRONICS: Passive: volume, volume, tone BRIDGE: Hipshot USA B style, Brass bridge with 18mm string spacing PICKUPS: Aguilar 5P-60 (neck) & Aguilar 5J-HC (bridge) TUNERS: Hipshot USA Ultralites Y 3/8 HARDWARE COLOR: Black NUT WIDTH: 45mm GIGBAG: Mensinger Deluxe Short Scale Bass bag Pickup available in Ghent, Belgium, will ship the bass safely packed and insured within EU/UK. *** Will consider a partial trade with a medium scale 4-string bass, has to be lightweight and preferably a Jazz bass or ACG of some sort. I'm also interested in a good compressor (Origin, Diamond, Empress or EBS).***

*** I will ad a pair of gold plated patch cables for free with every fx-pedal you buy! *** Broughton Audio Low Pass + High Pass Filter with clean boost (2022): This literally just arrived from Broughton Audio in Canada last week. Paid 238€/199GBP for it incl. Shipping & VAT, but will have no need for it anymore due to the drastic down sizing of my set-up. Check Talkbass for more info. These are the best HPF/LPF pedals around and it has a 20db clean boost built in. 😉 Website blurb: A combination of a low pass and high pass filter, as well as a clean gain. The low pass filter is a 12 dB per octave high frequency filter. The LPF knob controls the cutoff frequency and ranges continuously from 20 kHz to 330 Hz. The high pass filter is a 12 dB per octave low frequency filter. The HPF knob controls the cutoff frequency and ranges continuously from 25 Hz to 190 Hz. The gain control ranges from unity gain to +20dB. The stock input impedance is 1MΩ. The output impedance is 100Ω. This device will work with active or passive instruments, as well as with other devices such as pedals, preamps, or effects loops. The pedal can be powered by a 9V battery or a DC power supply (not included). The DC supply should be a standard Boss style connector, center negative polarity. It can accept 9 to 24 volts. Although 9 volts is sufficient for most applications, higher voltages will provide more headroom when using the pedal with hotter signals. The current draw is approximately 10 mA. The Low + High Pass Filter has a true bypass switch. Pedal is new and comes with it´s original packaging. 195€/163GBP I'm based in Belgium, but can ship worldwide. JAM Pedals Lucy Dreamer Bass -> Sold! Old Blood Noise Endeavors Signal Blender =>Sold!

Hi, I'm selling a load of gear again due to health issues which are forcing me to go for even more lightweight alternatives compared to the gear I currently have. Nerve damage s@#^s... 😑 This is an as new custom order bass (finished January 2022) from Mensinger guitars in Germany. Only used at home and in the studio. Alas I have to get rid of all my bass gear due to health issues, hence the sale. The bass comes with fitting, high quality Mensinger gigbag, original box/packaging and all the tools and paperwork that came with it. As you can see in the second picture I changed the black dome knobs with black, aluminum Sadowsky-style knobs and I´ve put a set of Dunlop flatwound strings on the bass (the roundwound strings the bass came with from the custom shop will be included in the sale), apart from that everything is still original on the bass. I paid just over 1900Euros/1590GBP for this bass (the A++ grade Bubinga top, Hipshot USA hardware and Aguilar pickups are expensive options and the 5string neck, Carbon reinforcement rods and luminlay side dots are paid options as well),so this is your chance to get a true custom shop instrument for a lot less money and without the waiting time. CONSTRUCTION: Bolt-on BODY: Alder back & Bubinga A++ grade top NECK: One piece Maple with two Carbon reinforcement rods for extra stability POSITION MARKERS: Black dots on the fingerboard & Green Luminlay dots on the side of the neck RADIUS: 14" FINGERBOARD: Maple STRINGS: 5 FRET: 22 stainless steel, medium sized frets SCALE: 30" FINISH: Gloss polyurethane finish ELECTRONICS: Passive: volume, volume, tone BRIDGE: Hipshot USA B style, Brass bridge PICKUPS: Aguilar 5P-60 (neck) & Aguilar 5J-HC (bridge) TUNERS: Hipshot USA Ultralites Y 3/8 HARDWARE COLOR: Black GIGBAG: Mensinger Deluxe Short Scale Bass bag Pickup available in Ghent, Belgium, will ship the bass safely packed (I still have the box it came in) and insured within EU/UK.

Hi, I'm selling a load of gear again due to health issues which are forcing me to go for even more lightweight alternatives compared to the gear I currently have. Nerve damage s@#^s... 😑 GSS Sumo Monster 1200W electric bass & guitar Power Amp ( New 2022 model!) These is the ultimate compact power amp to use with a pedal pre-amp or modeller like f.e. helix, kemper and the likes. I've used it with a Sansamp, a tube pre and a Laney Digbeth pre and they all sounded pristine through this powerfull beast with loads of clean headroom to spare. I'd love to keep this, but recent escalation in health issues is forcing me to go even smaller and lighter with my amp set-up, hence the sale. Spec's: 1200 Watt over 4 Ohm; 800 Watt over 8 Ohm; 400 Watt over 16 Ohm. THD (full power): < 0,1 % Input impedance: 10 K Ohm Power supply voltage: 180-264 Volt ac Frequency response(-1dB): 20-20000 Hz Weight: 7 Lbs. (3.2 Kg) Dimensions: 3.4" x 6.7" x 12.2" / 86 x 170 x 314 mm (H x W x D) Inputs/outputs and controls : 1/4" (6.35mm) input jack on the front panel. Neutrik Speakon loudspeaker output connector on the back panel. One On/Off power switch on the front panel. Massive pure aluminium volume control. A very unique size vs.power ratio. Very high quality electronics based on carefully selected components. 100% black aluminium enclosure. Laser printed front and back panels. The amp is less than two months old, hardly used and in mint codition. Comes with (EU) power cable. I'm in Belgium but can ship worldwide. 😉

Hi, I´m doing a complete upgrade (pickups, pre-amp, tuners,...) on a good friend´s favorite bass, but I´m having trouble finding a good set of pickups that match the Ibby´s tight string spacing (16,5mm), so I´m hoping someone here can give me some advice on where to look. We´ve been looking at Aguilar (seems to be sold out everywhere) and Nordstrand drop in replacements for the Bartolini MKI pickups that are currently in there, but even though I was able to find those in the right size (P2) the string spacing seems to be set at 19mm for all the options I could find online, whilst the Ibby only has a 16,5mm spacing. At this point we´re kinda bummed as he uses this bass a lot and right now it´s in pieces on my desk waiting for a new set of pickups that I seem unable to find, so any help/advice on this topic will be very much appreciated... Thanks in advance!! Don

EDIT: Just realised that I accidentally put a set of P-pickup covers on there in the picture instead of Jazz pickup covers. Excuse me for that please, I've never used them before so I had no idea. I do have both in stock tho so the bass will ofcourse be delivered with the right set of pickups covers (see photo). Feel free to contact me if you're looking for a set of covers as I have several spare sets of both J and P pickup covers in stock atm.

For those looking for the Precision bass feel with a jazz bass sound, here's the Thunder Gear P-Jazz. A solid, stable, one-piece maple P-bass neck with a 42mm nut width sporting a beautiful rosewood fingerboard with block inlays paired with a lightweight Alder Jazz bass body. The pickups sound a lot like the Tonerider jazz set that you can also find in some of the CV series jazz basses. This bass combines the robust feel and stability of a vintage precision bass neck with the versatility and good looks of a Jazz bass for relatively little money. You also get a set of chrome caps, so you can expand the vintage look even further and for those who are not a fan of tort pickguards, there is also a black pickguard included in the sale so you can swap and compare to your heart's content. Despite the fairly substantial neck, this bass comes in at just 4.2kg. total, so it's definitely not a neck-breaker. The bass comes equipped with a fresh set of D'addario nickel roundwound strings 45-100 gauge and had a full set-up with medium low action, buzz free and offers excellent playability so she's ready for anything really.. This is a brand new instrument, nog case or gigbag included, but I can ship it double or triple boxed with loads of protective materials, please check my feedback, I've been called 'the packaging king" a number of times by previous buyers here on the forum. PRICEDROP TO 295GBP! Interested in trades with a lightweight cab or combo (pref. a GR bass, Eich amps or "made in Italy" Markbass), can ad cash ofcourse... Kind regards, Donovan

***SOLD!*** Schecter Banshee - customised ***SOLD!***
Bassdude BE replied to Bassdude BE's topic in Basses For Sale
Since I had some queries about the total value of this instrument, here's a little overview of the cost of the parts and labour that went into this: I had to import the Schecter as the grey one wasn't available anywhere in Europe at the time, so I payed 791Euro + shipping and import/customs costs for the Schecter. The Hipshot Ultralites (USA made version not the licensed ones!) were 158Euro. The Aguilar AG 4P-60 pickup was 151Euro. The Omega Bass bridge was 88E. Then there's probably another 50 Euro's in little parts like the Hipshot speed knobs, string tree, D'addario eliptical strap holders, CTS pot's , Switchcraft jack, wiring and screws. And around 40Euro to have the frets and nut looked after by my teacher and master luthier. It also comes with a gigbag that was 24.99Euro So with this alone I've already got 1302 Euros invested in this (and then I'm not even including the import/customs costs that I had to pay for the body and neck + the extra set of Labella flatwound strings that I'm including in the sale). Of course I do understand I will never get my money out of this built again, but I will now consider near offers and trade deals for this little beaut. Trade offers regarding lightweight bass-cabs will be considered. Kind regards, Donovan- 7 replies

Hi due to a double order I have a brand new Orange Terror Bass MKII available (this is the newest version with the "clean" switch). The amp is unused, still boxed and comes with matching Orange gigbag. These are sold out in most places, so if you're in Europe and you're looking for one of these, this is your chance to snap one up. Price in euros: 649 Euros => PRICE DROP TO 425GBP/ 500Euro for a quick sale! Just trying to get some of my money back out of it, but I'm willing to consider trade offers concerning one or two lightweight bass cabs (can ad cash ofcourse...) a Tech 21 VT Bass DI or a nice envelope filter. Only wanting to sell/trade this because I accidentally bought two of these after being on the lookout for one for ages and I'm now stuck with it as I had to import them due to them being sold out all over Europe at the time of ordering.. 🙄 I'm based in Ghent, Belgium.

Godin A5 Ultra Fretless. £800 this week only.
Bassdude BE replied to Sambrook's topic in Basses For Sale
I've tested the fretted version of this bass for a German music store a while back and it absolutely killed! Loved the sound and playability of it and have been lusting for the 5-string fretless version of it ever since (they only had the 5 string fretted and 4 string fretless version of it in stock at the time). I.m.e. most of them are relatively heavy tho, so if you have a lightweight one that's definitely an advantage for the potential buyer! I'd love this, but I would have to sell some other gear first to justify buying it, so I guess someone else will probably snap this up before I manage to get the money together. It definitely is a great sounding instrument and I haven't seen a lot of the 5 string fretless versions for sale on the used market, so that makes it a bit of a rare beast. G.L.W.T.S.! -
