Wow, selling already Iam? I remember you ordering this new last week! So what exactly does disturb you about the neck? too thick? too wide? to potential buyers: As a fellow countryman of Iam i can vouch for the bass being brand new as we talked about his new purchase the day he bought it,only a week ago today, if i still had the money i would be all over this but unfortunately (or on the other hand maybe not... ) i've just bought the Mayones victorious that was for sale here and now i don't have any cash left to spend... Here's a free bump for you bro!

Just traded my Musicman for Sean's Lakland DJ4, and even though the bass was shipped overseas everything arrived in mint condition , well packed and secure, i even got more than i asked for (Sean added some nice extras like new strings, straplocks and a cable that were not part of the deal) so no complaints here! thanks Sean! communication was fast and pleasant, a very friendly and trustworthy BC'er , deal with confidence!
Many thanks to the hordes of people who got in touch about this, I was overwhelmed with interest. I wasn't sure there was much interest in DJs any more but was proved wrong entirely The bass is now traded for the Red Sterling (wasn't he the guy behind The Twighlight Zone? ) of Bassdude BE.
That was "Rod Serling" actually (used to love that show... ) but you came close tho... Hi guys, Up for sale/trade is my 6 month old Musicman Sterling 4 string in a rare and beautifull transparent red finish with black scratchplate. Bought this bass new april 7th 2010 at Music is life in the U.K. The bass has never been gigged , has never even left my livingroom and is in mint condition. It comes with the original Musicman case, bill, warranty card and MM goodies. It plays/sounds like a dream, is set up pretty good and has that typical MM Stingray sound in a slightly lighter and smaller package, The body is a beautifull ash with a nice visible grain coming through the transparent finish (still looks a lot better in real life than in the picture's because its hard to catch something like that on photo, but i tried my best... ) The maple neck has a smooth matte finish that feels really nice & smooth and protects the wood against temperature/moisture issues + makes fast playing really easy. (the Sterling neck has more of a Jazz-like form and feel than the bulcky stingray necks) I love this bass and it has been my baby for the past 6months, but since i like the neck of my friends Modulus i'm thinking of getting a bass with graphite /carbon fibre neck like Zon / Modulus /Vigier and other basses alike...and therefore this beauty has to go to be able to get one of those. Since the bass is just 6 months old and is still in showroom condition i would like to get around 950£ or 1099 Euro for it (open to offers) or trade with a bass (Zon/modulus/Vigier or alike) with carbon fibre/graphite neck (trade with cash either way is possible regarding the value/state of the bass) or a trade with a cheap bass (4 string or a 5'er with narrow neck) + cash so i can save up to buy a graphite bass myself I'm based in Belgium, but shipping is no problem (around 40£ for shipping to the U.K) as i'm a real packaging expert (check my feedback) and i still have the original box to fit around the case. The bass will be bubble wrapped, put firmly in its original case and the again wrapped before putting it in the thick cardboard box that it came with on purchase. I added some picture's, if you want more detailed picture's or have any questions feel free to contact me anytime!

Seems i had a problem with a faulty speaker cable that was distorting the signal, changed the cable today and all is fine! still don't feel like running it completely flat tho, i'm missing a bit of low end here and there, so i'm going to try and mess around with the low end freq's a little bit..

Hi, i've just bought a TC electronic set (RH450+RS210 &RC 4) last week an i'm looking for some advice concerning the EQ settings. So far i've managed to program a decent rock/metal/sansamp like-sound with a bit of compression and some Tubetone for that extra grind (wich is good , because that is mainly what i bought it for...), but i'm having some trouble finding a good "clean" and "slap" setting that i can use with my musicman bass. The MM's active pre-amp has a lot of output and i think that's were the problem lies... I use the bass with the pre-amp set flat and i've noticed that it seems to sound the best with the pick-up switch set in the middle (that's the jazzbass configuration i think??) but still it's hard for me to get a decent clean and/or slap sound and with the full power og the MM pick-up engaged (switch down) it's even harder to get a good definition in the lows and low-mids. When i listen closely it seems to me that when the amp is set flat (freq. controls also flat) the lows and low-mids kinda melt together and therefore loose definition on the upper strings and it gets hard for me to cut through the mix. I've tried to boost either the lows or the low-mids but that didn't really helped me getting the sound i expected from this amp. I'm not really good with EQ'ing and don't have any real technical knowledge of all the feature's on this amp, since i'm used to having 1 or 2 settings on my old EBS amp (small variations of example settings i found on the EBS website) and usually sticked to that sound, so all the advice that can help me get the best out of this baby will be very appreciated!! at the moment i'm using the amp in the following configuration: 2010 Musicman sterling 4 (pre-amp set flat) => RH 450 => RS 210 and i'm mainly looking for a good clean (fingerstyle) sound and a good slap sound. (I hope i'm able to revive this thread, because i'm sure there will be more people looking for advice on good EQ settings as there is not a lot information available on the internet concerning this topic.)
