1.
You can order them direct from Yamaha. I enquired about putting some in my BB415. Even though the BB1025 and BB2025 supposedly have the same pickups, the latter were more expensive, when I enquired about this I did not receive an answer! To fix your problem you need to apply IRA and ARE treatments. Put your bass in the oven then leave it on top of the washing machine during a spin cycle. That should do the trick and make it sound like a vintage bass.
IRA and ARE treatment hey my bass is already 33 years old! no need for fancy marketing jargen. Besides Im not going for a vintage sound hense why I modded the bass in the first place. I was after the body mostly as I wanted a neck-through PJ bass and the BB1200 popped up cheap cheap on ebay. Ideal really due to the reverse P.
2. BB2000 thanks for the suggestion, so would changing the cap really have the same effect as changing the pots? I mean pots are very cheap anyway and nothing compared to the price of the pickups which are indeed direct from Yamaha just email their support team. They are mighty expensive however it works out probably the same as buying for example, EMGs, doing the extra routing and covering up the excess gaps left by the original rout with some sort of pick guard. Saying that I would still like to hear from any BB2024 owners. Cheers
3. Hey everybody, as the title implies, Im hoping one of you kind BB2024/BB2025 owners would spare the time to have a look at the Volume and Tone pots used in this bass. Ive been using BB2024 pickups in my BB1200 and eventhough the tone is full bodied and mid-elicious, it lacks the high end bite I expected. Currently I have the original 250K vol and tone pots in my BB1200 but I have only just learnt how pot resistance effects the high end. Im expecting the pots used along side the BB2024 pickups are 500K possibly more? Ive emailed Yamaha support too but encase they dont get back to me lightning speed Id thought Id ask here too. Cheers!
4. Bought a 105q off Lee. Great attention to packaging! took me a minute to figure out how to get it out of the box. For the price its in great condition and works a treat. Ta very much! Pleasure to deal with.
5. hahaha love the FARTKE signature! thats exactly how i feel about Hartke
6. Top pedals, I have the Twin EQ version and it makes my EHX micro synth sound even more humongous. Also nails alot of the tones I need in my covers band for the old classics.
7.
You're going to the wrong shops then - we have a couple of people on here that work in music shops and they certainly 'know their stuff'.
Im glad, there is hope! but hense why I said most of them. Not all. mostly. they mostly come out at night. mostly
8. With the exception of the Bass Merchants, most guitar shops Ive been in are run by salesman who know nothing about the stuff they are selling. I do miss the Bass Merchants in Colchester... sniff sniff Korg, a massive brand in the music biz. never heard of Chord. Just shows that these salesman dont even do their homework.
9. its just an observation ive come to see very frequently recently thats is all... I even said very clearly in OP that ive just been spending the 20% more... *headslap* but anyway I didnt say people should not do it. Im just finding it very strange thats all.
10. Yeah i get this alot. Then the ones that do give you a price quote one thats 50% more than anywhere you can get it online, dont care that you know that and are totally prepared to loose a customer. About 8 years ago I went to the Bass Cellar in London to buy my first Warwick as I was mad about them at the time, had about a grand to spend. The bald moron wouldnt let me try any off them. Ended up buying online after trying a mates bass...
11. Is it me or recently people are asking far too much for second hand pedals recently I mean it used to be the case anything second hand would sell for half (or slight more) its retail price but now it seems second pedals on here are all marked up about 80% of their retail price. So recently, apart for a few exceptions Ive just been paying the extra 20% to get the pedal new and a years warranty. I mean I can expect a pedal to sell for more if its sought after and hand man but not mass produced pedals. Rant over
12. Bought a Seymour Duncan Tremolo off Matt and everything was as said. Pleasure to deal with cheers dude! Matt
13. Awesome pedals IMO with the right imagination your capable of making sooooooooooooo many textures and effects

SOLD

Fantastic and highly versatile pedal, I have two.
15. I maybe mistaken! but I remember seeing one like it with the skull pot cover
16. waynepunkdude I have seen that bass for sale on BassChat in the last year or so just so you know. Should be more details for it in the for sale section somewhere
17. Very. Nice. How about a red tortoise pickguard?
18. Hooray! Great looking bass you have there!
19. Because I suck at explaining thing see picture attached. As I said this is not 100% certain as I didnt do the job but as far as I can see.
20. I didnt do the the job but, There is an end of a white wire coming from the prong which is closest to where it says "BB" (As in where 7-string has a loose red were sticking up). The only other prong what looks like its had a wire removed is where the black wire connects on the pickup which says "BB". The rest of the original solder joints look untouched.
21. Heres mine which I got taken out and replaced with the new BB2024 pickup. Call me mad for modding a classic but the new pickups sound incredible and just look like they were meant for the bass. So if you you need a spare I guess I can part with my old bb1200 pickup for a reasonable fee if you end up needing one.
22. The Black and Red wires in the middle connecting the pickups on your picture are in the correct paths according to my BB1200 pickup. Sorry to say! Ill post a picture of mine in a min.
