5. I got given this P-Bass by the band 'Angels and Airwaves' at Give it a name festival a couple of years ago. It has no pick-guard as it is signed and thats the only bit i wanted from it its literally been played like twice, all the electrics work and all you need is some knobs and a pick-guard and your ready to roll. never been gigged and its all it pretty neat condition considering its just been chucked in a cupboard. have a butchers. Go on gimme £45 for it, thats gotta be a bargain right? cheers

  11.
probally want to move away from jazz bass, although i do love my squier, i would just like some variety, something with a heavier, muddier sound would be nice. cheers for the help though, if i cant decide on a new bass i will defenatly check out some pickup upgrades.
the epiphone EB3 has a very muddy sound, but also gritty. im currently selling mine after buying a Lakland, if you get a chance i would save up an extra £100 and pick yourself a second hand musicman, or a Jazz. also look at Ibanez's SR series very nice basses. if you want any more info on and EB3, send me a message
  12.
For £1k you could pick up a used PRS EB-IV - all the bass you'd ever need (unless of course you needed 5 strings) with a D-tuner!
any suggestions where i could give one a go? or where i could get one from the net?

  16. Im looking around about £1000, yes i suppose it is personal opinion. Its hard to try basses out around here, we have one guitar shop and it sells mainly keyboards/pianos and guitars, which probably comes as no surprise to you. thanks
  17. Hi all, im looking at getting a new bass. I currently play an Epiphone Thunderbird, and basically want to get something a bit better. Im looking for something with a nice deep bottom end but plenty of tonal variations. So far i've looked at Lakland's but im not sure what else to try out. Im not keen on Fender's but any suggestions will be good. cheers aaron
