    I have a 4 legged stool.Clearly superior to the wobbly 3 leg stool.Can't see instruments changing,recording technology has,any breakthrough technology is likely to be amps rather than instruments.Parker Fly,anyone?

    As far as I'm aware,Gibson have never officially made left handed basses.I have seen one that was discussed in one of the now defunct guitar mags from the 90's,and their opinion was that it was made in the Gibson factory after hours..

    I found something very similar on Talkbass,although it's more likely a KJB 1B having taken another look.

    Going out on a limb and tentatively identifying it as Kay KJB 2B.1970'S.

    The headstock looks like a Kay,and it certainly looks like Japanese basses from the 70's/80's. So my guess is a Kay.

    Technology in the studio is useful,but to be reliant on it is self defeating,from a musicians point of view.And there's nothing quite like that "nailed it " moment when you know you've got it right.

    Going by the shape of the headstock I reckon that's an Encore and probably worth about 50p.
