1. Doubt it will make it this far south,I've spread the word amongst my chums and buddies.Best of luck.
2. Assuming that due credit is given,if the finished piece of music is one that did not exist before, then sampling is fine. After all,how many of us play totally original no one's ever played this before music?
3. Peavey 1 x 15" Black Widows. I have a probably early 1970's grey fronted Marshall 1 x 18" reflex bin,it produces a whopping 150w,although it sounds louder than that. It's totally impractical, needs a small van or estate car to move it,and is currently getting dusty at my parents. It does scare guitarists though.
4. Of course, for Reggae you really need an enormous 1 x 18" reflex bin...

6.
Probably the cab, since they are most usually the limiting factor. Big is good.
This.
7.
Played a pub near Pontypool last night. Appreciative crowd and may replace the August bank holiday Karaoke with us! Singer flat a lot of the time unfortunately (subject of a separate thread in gen discussion). Tried out my newly scored 60's RI Jazz which 'honked' like a good'un! Search for a new front person is on! LC
Hog and Hosper,perchance?
8. Just purchased a Behringer limiter pedal off the Binkster, all good, top bloke.
9. Largely wallpaper absorbencey.
10.
Or if they are valve watts or solid state watts..... *runs past usain....*
Now you've complicated it all by adding the Doppler effect.
11.
Black, black maple Or Black, tort, rosewood
Yup. Or Black,chrome,maple.
12. It's been a long time since I studied this, but it's not about watts,it's about decibels and how the human ear percieves volume.( as has been pointed out). I believe the human earhole percieves doubling of loud as an increase of around 6 decibels. So if you want twice as loud as the 100watts rms amp, then you need to be using (around) 1000watts rms of amp. Then we complicate it further by adding that the human ear percieves lower frequencies as quieter than higher frequencies ( which is why the woofer on your hifi or PA is much more powerful than the tweeter)...I'll get me lab coat....Bottom line is,it's got little to do with basic physics. My head hurts now.
13.
Not had the best experience with squiers, I know they really vary quality-wise, are the P bass specials decent?
Mine's great.relatively new Indonesian made one.
14. Yes,it's perfectly feasable.Consider a Squier P special,PJ pickups,P body,jazz profile neck,they seem to be going for around £150 at the moment.
15. Being in a new band with the local gig promoter has made things a lot easier.
16. Keep trying.I haven't sung ( well,shouted..) backing vocals for about 15 years,my new band have just become a three piece and I'm now expected to do BV's.Can I do it? Can I f#ck...Practice practice practice..
17. It's a regular banjo,she's just tiny.
18.
Okay, here's a daft one, but it might make all the long-term difference. After a gig/rehearsal/home run-through, blah, blah, you lovingly put your baby back in it's case after wiping down the strings etc, etc. Now....is it best to stand the case up against a wall, lay it on it's side, or lay it on it's back? Discuss.
Beats me,I let the Roadies do that stuff.....
19. It's nice,but I bet they don't make left handed ones.
20. I have no interest whatsoever in 6 string shenanigans.
21. Wondering if it's a coincedence that Fender strings have the same coloured ball end system as Daddario?
22. If you really knacker it,I know a good luthier in the Forest of Dean..
23. Make me an offer. The postage will likely be hefty as it's 2 19" rack units.I even have a few 2.8" Quickdisks somewhere.
