8. Just a thought, are we measuring from the finger board or the frets? My first bass back in the 70's had a string height measured in inches,so that may have something to do with why I find 5mm string height tolerable...

12. The Korean made ones are very good indeed,as are the Indonesian ones.As with all cheaper instruments the pickups and electrics are the weak (relative term )points. My Squier PJ is now fitted with EMG's that cost more than the bass, but it's a damn fine bass.
13. All of mine average 5mm at the 12th fret.I do have a fairly robust hitting style.
14. I prefer to stand stage right,as playing left handed this reduces the amount of headstock clashing.
15. Hmmm.Somewhere inbetween the two.Although leaning towards Ms .Weymouth's style.
16.
I also dont like vinegar on chips or sugar in tea.....!!!!
Neither does Satan.
17. I'm having trouble uploading pics at the moment. Some of my other basses are in the "basses on the sofa" and Precisions thread.Including my other 78 Fender P.
18. Wals.Fugly things that sound synthetic. Also pretty much any bass designed in the early eighties
