1. For £30 you can't go wrong.
2.
A popular beat combo, m'lud.
Of some notoriety.
3. I've never seen one, although I'd imagine there's more than 2 in the world! If you ever want to get rid of it,I'll have it..
4. I would be there,but I have a mate's 50th birthday do to attend.Good venue,but be warned there's no stage and it's a fairly small room..
5. I can't go on stage supporting the UK Subs with shiny silver strings....

7.
We already have a popular thread posting photos of ourselves, but frequently there seem to be more interest in the singer / front man/woman of the band then in the bass player... so why not, please post a pic of your front person - would be fun.
No it wouldnt. He's ugly.
8.
Price may give it away
Agreed. If you want SM 58's, buy them from an established dealer.
9. Haven't seen Tom on here for a while, and completely forgot to leave feedback..Purchased his Trace Elliot combo a while back,Top bloke, didn't complain about my driving either.A+.
10. Bought some P bass ashtrays a while ago ( completely forgot the feedback, sorry!) All well and good, didn't even complain about me sending a dr*mmer to pick them up..A+.
11. 13/0811 Pig Inn the City,Gloucester.Note how the flash nicely accentuates the beard..
12.
And an Ampeg SVT through an 8x10 doesn't look like this ..
It's got a guitarist stuck to it!
13.
This one? ....... and this is what it sounds like.
Oh my....
14. Pretty much..Unfortunately he didn't know what sort of desk it was.
15. The correct answer is of course,Jason Newstead. And it's an age thing, they'll grow out of it.
16.
Some iconic players have played them though - my favourite would have to the great Jim Lea of Slade (or was his a John Birch "copy"?)
Still the only bassist I've ever seen using a tremelo arm. My first bass was a Kay EB copy.It was (still is) vile.
17.
Just out of curiosity, having a bass set up like his you'll get the E and A strings pickup closer to the bridge than the D and G strings pickup, a la Sandberg! I'm very curious as to the sound of this particular bass...
Yamaha used to do this pickup arrangement. It didn't catch on,though - ahem - in theory it should give a more balanced tone.JJ Burnel used one on The Raven.
18.
Same thing with a POD. Why bother with expensive amps when you can get a fairly realistic reproduction for less than the price of a half dozen EL34's.
It may sound like an Ampeg SVT through an 8x10,but it doesn't look like one..
19.
What him and people like him cant get thier heads round is that the "classic" recorded sounds they are trying to recreate are often as much a product of the sound engineering as they are of the guitar/bass and amp.
Spot on.I was guilty of this in the 80's trying to emulate Steve Severin's (Souxsie and the Banshees, for the youngsters..) sound on their Juju album.Acoustic 220 guitar head,8x10,1x15 W bin, chorus, bit of reverb. When I spoke to him about it,he said "Musicman Stingray straight into the desk".
20.
I'm currently building a right hander with a lefty neck which will be strung BEAD to test the theories of string tension and scale.
Can I have the neck when you've finished the test? They're not that common....I believe there is a difference in string tension although I can't say I noticed any appreciable difference when I had a right handed neck on a lefty.
21. I'd rather talk about gear than talk about scales.
22. Say yes,and turn up with a 15w practice amp.
23. I spent several years taking a time out from life in general with a spinal injury. The one good bit of advice I had from a guitar playing chyropractor was don't stand still. And get someone else to move the kit for me..
24. Boss DR660 here.
