1.
How heavy is it compared to a wooden one?
Status suggest on their website that tthe ones they make are roughly the same weight as a maple neck. These might be different though.
2.
How about making it a sliding pickup, a la Gibson Grabber?
Up vote. I've been a pickup placement convert for a while. Makes a far bigger difference than just changing pickups.
3. Ou7shineds Pingray. The MM pickup is in the sweet spot and P has the DG coil on the neck side of the pickup IIRC
4. I drew some up in Corel draw and just printed on clear adhesive paper. If you get board you can rip them off easy and apply new ones, and leave little to no marks of you want to sell arts on. Very easy and quick. I knocked a few up with in an hour(different fonts for front decal).
5. Schallers sold. Fender ones I've found the corresponding buttons but I'm not sure any screws I have will be the right ones.
6. Accumalated a load over the past few years. 2x Schaller, chrome with button and screws. £7 the pair posted SOLD 2x Fender branded schaller style. buttons but I'm not sure I have the right screws £7 the pair posted 2x Dunlop p, chrome, no buttons. £5 the pair posted. That's it, will get pictures if necessary but they look just like the pictures, not seen much use as they were put on once and taken off once.
7. Colour me confused
8. Bass body? I'd like to see this on a fretboard with the glow parts the markers?
9. I'd look at doing the above if weight is that important to you. The tuners and bridge will make a bigger weight difference than the knobs, and they are a lot easier to source by the sounds of it.
10. Dislike fuzz greatly. Love distortion and Overdrives though, and bit crushers do well too. I guess I haven't found the fuzz for me really.
11. After a money scare recent this went up for sale, but something else is sold and I get to keep this. Still does the round at rehearsals. The 33" scale and the weight make for long playing periods an absolute breeze. I will be changing the passive wiring that Alan prescribes to the traditional Vol, Vol and Tone. The rotary system is nice but something about either or systems bug me. And series switching isn't my thing at all.
12. My other bass sold and as such this is staying (yes!!)

14. Any pedal like the Sansamp para driver or dark glass vintage deluxe plugged into the effects return on the OTB sounds 10000 times better than going into the front of amp. Bypass the wooly preamp, and you get 500watts of thunder with your choice or EQ and drive.
15. I wouldn't mind one of those inca silver bent jazzes they make with a matchup my headstock.
16.
Ported and sealed cabs have different strengths and sounds, so as the site says Alex is building a "hybrid enclosure which sounds and feels like a sealed cab but can play loud and bring the thunder like a ported cab". Pointless? How do we more about this than Alex?
Don't get me wrong that sounds great but it's not definite weather it's a ported can I don't think. Regardless it sounds like good premise and despite my previous excellent experience with my Super Compact I think I will wait for actual user verdicts
17.
The Retro Two10, as described on the BF website, is a ported cab that is made to sound like a sealed cab. At a guess it'll look like the majority of all other cabs, a rectangular black box...doesn't make for exciting photography IMO, so no need for pictures of it really.
Tbf there is a bit of conjecture over this as the site isn't clear what it is and I'm sure I read the words "passive radiator" Although if it is as you said, seems rather pointless making a ported cab sound sealed, just make it sealed no?
18.
Great basses - care to share pics of the back?
Updated
19. Loads of nibbles but nothing solid.
20. I'd like to know what the actual design is.
