  1. as above.

Rosewood board, truss rod adjusts at heel. The tuners are open gear but small form factor, with an "F" branding.

Brand new condition, barely played and never gigged, only been on one bass. Also come with the Neckplate branded Fender Corana.

Will trade for status graphite jazz neck.
MIJ/CIJ or MIA Jazz neck, preferable rosewood with blocks and binding.

No idea on price but £200 with tuners posted sounds ok?

Will split and will look at offers.

Comes with a fusion gig bag, fresh strings on and a low low setup.

Prefer collection but will post at cost.

  3. i have a bass laying around that I want to add a bridge pickup too.

I have no idea what I'm doing and what to get it done fast, cheap and well.
However I know you can only have 2 of those options so I'll go with fast and well.

How can I get this routed without ruining the surrounding area or needing to refinish?

  4. Genz 9.0 and barefaced super compact.

Can get a lot of sounds out of the controls on the genz, along with plug and play ability once the gain is set.
And the barefaced is so light you don't need to think and gives more volume than you'll ever need in those kind of environments.

  5. I don't see them making a come back in full, as I'm sure the filings for bankruptcy will have a catch or two.

Also at 2.5k upwards still a very niche item, you can spend the same and choose a 5 piece body wood with loads of carves and bells and whistles.

You could part up a similar bass for a lot less than the price they are asking.

I paid £650? Probably about right for an 86. I always was lead to believe the mid 80's japanese instruments were more desirable

I've paid more and less for similar age Fender Japan stuff.
I would double check all your stuff first with Fender UK, as you could very well even have a fake on your hands, or even a parts bass.

  7. Do you think you paid more for the item then you would have if it was from the late 90s?

My personal experience with both made and crafted in Japan basses is that they are both generally excellent products. Also I wouldn't value a MIJ less than a CIJ or value it higher if it was older.

If the bass is indeed a 75 reissue, of Japanese descent, in the condition it was made out to be in and you think you paid a fair price for it then there shouldn't really be any issue.

Made in Japan from around 82 till 96/97 means it was made by fujigen, crafted in Japan means it was made by Dyna Gakki, not common before 97 as production hadn't completely changed hands, only some CIJ from earlier than 97 exist due to so,e Fujigen expansions that slowed production.

Do you mind telling us what you paid?

They reuse the numbers but a MIJ with an A is from 86/87 and a CIJ with an A is 96/97

All in all it's very confusing, some say this and some say that but it's hard to keep track and get proof.

  8. Should be noted it weighs something silly, around 8lbs but could easily be less as Alan said it was considered light weight and my new one is medium weight and that is only 8.5lbs.

Also it's very easy to retro fit one of the ACG actives into this, or any other preamp as the back compartment already has a battery box routed (as with all grafts they are cut to be chopped and changed if needed)

Classic jazz tones all the way through this bass.
