Why don't I have a T40 yet?
-
Some of my favourites: Rage Against the Machine Royal Blood Mad Capsule Markets. I'm the same at the minute, although I've started using Bandcamp to find new stuff, and have come across a lot of great music and gotten really into contempory noise/skater rock. METz is one and another FIDLAR

Have played with hundreds upon hundreds of bands and it's just people. Experienced all sorts, from young entitled kids wanting my bass to the old and wise knob fiddling my amp. Neither fully realising their ass hattery. At the same time we've met some great people. We just remind our selves that this bedroom wannabes aren't going to make it very far at all regardless of how good or bad they maybe, and it's down to their poor attitude.

Straight swapped a BDPG for Paul's Zoom B3. All as described sent quick as a quick thing. Was a pleasure

It's in Nottingham about 5 minutes drive (lots of lights and a bit congested) out of the city centre. It's an amazing cave of pedal wonders
No worries, definitaely doing a video of the board at some point.
Yes!! Onto other covers, I was thinking of this the other day, was going to do guitar/bass covers in one take with my crap load of gear. As a request I thought a good place to start would be some sort of RATM or Audioslave. Early RATM like killing in the name of both guitar and bass play pretty much the same thing, Audioslave Cochise again, guitar and bass play the same line IIRC. The original for me, fake guitar on bass http://youtube.com/watch?v=OuyGNMjlZ6s A few other tunes he uses the pitch up for solos.

Watching/supporting basschatters at a gig?
Prime_BASS replied to paulbass's topic in General Discussion
I've seen Shep play, marvelled by his technical ability with the toys at his feet more, lol. Although having heard play some quasi funk jam night he is an ace player. Ant from Castrovalva (formerly), crazy sounds from 3 balls of eenergy, plan on seeing him in Brawlers if they come Nottingham. Also seen big red X with dick venom once or twice. -

Basically 70's or 60's. coupled with the 33 inch scale the bridge pickup is in effectively the same place as the bridge coil on a MM bass. I didnt even know it was to come in a gig bag which is very substantial. out the box it smells like fresh brand new furniture haha, pure wood porn. The neck is the best looking piece of wood I've seen, so so happy with it. I'm also very happy with having moved the pickups and gone for a shorter scale length. Something always bugged me about the bridge sound on the Finn I had and this solves it easy. The overwound pickups I wanted are mega hot, loads more energy in all positions. The P bass sound is killer, not that I use it. The bridge pickup sound is more rounded on the lows and less honking in the upper mids and nails the sound I want. Fit and finish is second to none. -
I'm not sure I should ask, but... What exactly is a 'bitcrusher'..?
Will make reminisce over a simpler time when 8 bits and collecting coins was all that mattered.

ACG Graft J type Build - UPDATE All FINISHED
Prime_BASS replied to Prime_BASS's topic in Build Diaries
I'm just going through my emails to gather all my pics -
There was a small bar in my city that was serving the stuff. I wanted 4 washers so was a bit rat arsed when I got them, ended up loosing one. I think they are excellent.

Mooer Speaker Sim / DI - A great little problem solver!
Prime_BASS replied to paulbuzz's topic in Effects
On this, I have a cog effect coming in with a switchable "cab sim" on. I can choose for it to effect either jack output or XLR or both at the same time. It has the same treble toll off as this, 3khz 20 of 24 db per octave pretty steep, mimics the treble response of my super compact, I actually got Barefaced to tell me what it should be. Nothing else is cut, the lows and mids stay unchanged. Designed primarily for the same reason westie is using it for. Sometimes I get made to use a cab with a tweeter and some times ( all the time) I am DI'd to the PA and so need it on the XLR too. So it solves the issue of having the line taking direct of out of my amp. -
I concurs, my favourite OD I've used so far
-
I think of it as one of my drives is my "sound" and would ideally be in a whole preamp with the EQ I use. The other drive goes in front of that to boost it more, adding more dirt and girth, as what traditionally OD used to do with valve amps before we started using 100 upon 100s of watts. Overall it doesn't matter though.
