1.
Dnt get me wrong the headlite is no slouch keeps up with two loud guitars moderate drummer in my metal band and same but with a loud drummer in my pop punk band so its def loud im being greedy really wanting the amplite aswell lol. I cant see any ports so i think so, And with the tweeter which is switchable and the fact its a switchable between 4 and 8 ohms is very cool. Andy
That is pretty cool. I think I'm getting some Matamp 1x12's now though just finalising some deals.
2. Sounds good, always been interested in it but I'd feel I'd need the amplite for it too, power wise. For how cheap the hydrive cabs go fo it'd be do able. Are the 1x12's sealed??
3.
thats weird i play in standard d tuning and do some drop c with my metal band and the 115 and 112 combo stand up to the punishment lol, the 810 had a lovely sound when i tried might nip back and try it using my headlite and see if the 400w is enough to drive it! im sure it will be! andy
Do it. How does the headlite sound btw??
4. Personally, I'd use a both a valve preamp pedal and a valve loaded compressor.
5. Get out there iis all I can say. I played with a few groups and did a few jams and even from those guy I still get asked if I want part of a project. Although I'm too busy I always forward them to a bassist I know who might want it too.
6. Why not try and get a hold of a 4x10 andy? Should be a one cab solution, although a bit short (for me anyway I like speakers in the air near my head to deafen me.) An 8x10 went on eBay a few days ago for no more than £200 with postage IIRC. I should of had it. It only weighs 55kgs I think too, so it's not at all heavy compared to some.
7. you'd be better finding 2 2x12's as they are more common in 4 ohms, although not many out there that are cheap. The good thing with two 4 ohm loads is you have a lot of modularity. You could have 4 8 ohm cabs, if you wanted.

9. I'll message you bro!
10. No worries mate. Lots of interest, but no bitersm I'm eyeing up EBS gear right now. I fancy trading for each for two EBS classic loine 1x12's. Regards Stephen

12. I use two identical cabs for the phase reasoning. They are sealed as I don't need that extra low end on stage. Tall and vertically aligned as I want to be able to clearly hear all the mids, from 100hz and up as clear as possible.
13. Barefaced do actually have examples of the speaker size making not much difference in terms of overall sound. you'd think two midgets are exactly the same as a super12, but two midgets have less bottom end due to the overall box being smaller than a super 12. I think (I may be wrong) that to make a sub you need a bigger box and a lot more power to drive it, and making the box smaller decreases the bass aswell.
14.
I currently an orange AD200 through an 8x10 And have done for some years. However in my new band I have more sonic spectrum to fill (only one guitarist who sounds nothing like my old guitarists). Would a 2x15 beef my sound up?
EQ will for sure, over a different cab. I'm not sure how beefy your sound up will add more sonic spectrum tot the band or whatever. Fillinf more sound often means more mids and high mids along with some dirt.
15. yeah the barefaced compact should be plenty loud. Have you tried using your traveller 15 on its own?
16. The markbass little mark tube and it's 800 watt brother are largely the same. The sound is exactly the same as in these modern units the power amp section is sectioned off from the preamp. Although that said, personally the 800 when it start pushing gets more compressed(in a bad way IMO) than the 500 and overall the 800 power amp isn't as good as delivering that power.

18. both 8 ohm and 200 watts each.
19. More speakers, just give you more. Not much else to it. which is why I don't use Barefaced much more, I don't have the space to really transport two compacts, and I neither have the money for the sealed '69er I want. Bass cabs is much more about compromise between what you need, and what you want, and what is practical. It's hard to satisfy all three.
20.
hi prime bass where in notts are you i might be interested in one to go with my ampeg 1x15 thanks mate
the cabs are located in Arnold, NG5. thanks
