1.
Is it possible to turn one of these into the 4 ohm version?
Not really sure as I;m not that clued up on that sort of thing. Although I don't know why you would want to do that as you'd be restricting the modularity of the cabs, and a single 2x10 this size will only go so load anyway regardless of ohms and watts poured into it. it's still going to achieve max spl if it's recieving 350 watts at 8ohms or 500 watts at 4ohms, only you run the risk of distorting the cabs with the latter. One of these is plenty loud on it's own.
2. As to my knowledge there are no "service centres" There is a company that deal with repairs though, real electronics. You can email [email protected] with any queries. Usually reply the same day too.
3. Back for possibke sale. Will straight trade for a hartke hydrive 4x10, or similar sealed cheap cabs. Would prefer ther ampeg 4x10 sealed unit. Hit me up.
4. Gone provisionally ! That was quick! Will amend title asap.
5. Been using this bad boy thing for a few months at our rehearsal space. 8x6 inch speakers with a horn. although the cab has plenty of high end without. It does surprisingly well the whole ampeg sealed thing rather well, not as full or deep on the bottom, but very punchy and gutsy all the same, and will still go plenty loud. It's 400watt at 4ohms, has seperate inputs for with or without horn(no attentuation, but it isn't overly garish when it is on) I have to hazard a guess at about 40kgs, and has tilt back wheels for easy load ins and outs. And I've walked it a fair distance before. Not much else to say. It is used but no major damage. I am after £200 for it, which is a sum less than what I paid. Collection only. Or I will trade for some sort of cheap cab/amp. Stephen
6.
Oh dear. Musicman owners are fckued then.
YEP! I had a 94' ish Sterling that had been used a lot. It was really unstable, any knocks or weather changes would mean the truss rod needed a tweak. Although not the end of the world and for me at least anyway I was fairly comfortable tweaking it, and always had my tools with me anyway in the gig bag to do it. but my god is it annoying. It held it's tuning fairly well, didn't go out of tune during songs or gigs, but it was just another thing to check upon arrival of anywhere.
7. Bumped. Doubt the price will go down on these unless I get desperate. Already losing money. Great 4x10and 8x10 alternative.
8. Tried the internal fuse, it was dead but swapping to a fresh one hasn't changed anything. Amp is stsill dead.
9. As the portal says, nottingham UK bro! I don't drive but any willing buyer just has to message me and we can sort somethging.
10. Friday just gone my markbass little mark tube decided to break. No idea what is wrong with it. One minute it was fine and the next it had powered down it's self and wouldn't turn back on since. No lights, no sound, no anything. I tried different kettle leads and replaced the fuse in it's own lead and still nothing. At a loss now. Can't really afford to replace it, or get it fixed if it's anything serious. Some opinions I have had is that the preamp tube has gone, but I don't think that would stop it powering up? Anyone out there with a spare LM2 or 3 or a tube I can borrow till I sort something permenant.?
11. For sale BOSS GEB-7 EQ pedal. used but no horrible damage, has some velco stuck on the underside. £40 posted. Bank transfer or I can accept paypal. Corvid Fuzz. stupid fuzzy fuzz pedal, has lot's of top if you your amp and cab allows it, has some kind of mid scoop which is more suited to guitars, has loads of bottom though and sounds really awesome with a LPF for some dubby swells. used but not loads, and has very strong velco on the underside. £35 posted.bank transfer or I can accept paypal Stephen. 12. I have 2 of these awesome markbass cabs for sale. Both in a used condition, but no tears, scrapes or bumps. and both sound exactly how they should. Both cabs are 8 ohm and 400watt (IIRC)and I've been using them the past few months stacked vertically, as the stand about 1 metre tall, a similar height to most 8x10's. They really excel together in gig situations, although 1 is plenty loud enough for most situations, with a little boost on the bass they sound really full but still clear.. PRICE DROPPED to £300 each collected. Or £600 for both collected. I have no problem with the buyer arranging a courier. I will box them up if I have too aswell. Shipping is to be paid by the buyer, which is either £12 for one cab, or £24 for the pair. Cash on collection or payment by bank transfer. This price is stupid! I paid £400 for one of them and £350 for the other. This is a bargain will go no lower as I need the money for both Christmas and to buy the cabs that I want below.... As far as trades go? I want a trade value of £700 for these(cash price is low as I am desperate) will do a straight swap for the right trade. I am after: Markbass Classic 104 (sealed 4x10) SVT210AV, the micro SVT 2x10 cabs. message me with any interest, at all, worst I can say is no.!!!. 13. Don't get me wrong I love my Basic (which has a 3 band) to pieces, but I don't really rate the preamp personally. the treble and bass controls have a very wide range, which isn't really for me, more for suitble changes I guess than total tone change. If I ever had the cash I'd swap it out to the John East stingray preamp, with the added mid control, a much better system.
