The shop I used to help out at in Cardiff was the UK distributor for a while in the 80s, got to see LOTS of fantastic Riches!
Would that have been Livewire?
 6. You could always bite the bullet and fork out for some of these.
 7. Well somebody wanted it. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121510646394?_trksid=p2047675.m570.l5999&_trkparms=gh1g%3DI121510646394.N36.S2.R1.TR13
 8.
Assuming you've already got the sounds on a synth or sampler, Roland PK5 pedals sound like what you need. I used to use them when I was doing the Rush stuff and I'm about to bring them back for my originals band. I'm triggering a Roland Fantom XR with them.
Roland PK5 definitely. Set up a favourite search in ebay and they will turn up. PK 6 on there. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Roland-PK-6-Midi-Bass-pedals-/231421721694?pt=UK_MusicalInstr_Keyboard_RL&hash=item35e1cf3c5e http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Roland-PK6-PK-6-Midi-Bass-Pedals-Brand-New-/221257778861?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3383fdc6ad
 9.
B&Q sell aluminium cases quite cheap, I used a couple as projector carriers for years, and another as a toolkit box, so they'll take a fair amount of abuse............I note a Google search also brings up a firm called Cases-and-Enclosures.co.uk - who look worth a punt.....
Plus 1 go google B&Q or Maplins.
 10. It's a real pain when relatives get humid.Everything just gets too unpredictable.
 11. Hi Gomez. Welcome to the [s]fray [/s]Forum. As Marc S mentioned I usually organise a bass bash in Cardiff every few months or so. It's an informal and relaxed occasion. Keep an eye on the EVENTS topic near the top of the forum lists. Where in Wales are you located?
 12.
jeez... talk about thread hijacking. if you were my apprentices you'd all be fired. enjoy your muffled bass tones, folks!
Be fair this topic was always destined to attract a bit of banter. Anyway it's down to what the Electron Pixies decide which colour they prefer to wear, and this affects how much of the audio signal they are prepared to carry down the cables. If it's bass they don't like it as it's a bit heavy for them.
 13.
The only thing I would question is why you need the number at fret one, surely you can figure that one out without a marker?
Yeah but then when you have figured out where number one is you won't need to mark the two because you know it's next to the one.
 14.
She's almost as cute as Jessica Rabbit
We'll have to differ on that one.
 15. BeardyBob. We're not really taking the pi$$. it's just that all sorts of claims about cables pop up here now and then and we can't resist the humour.
 16. Just heard from my son in law. He bought a Trace 1215 combo £240. Sadly on switch on there was plenty of smoke from both the amp and the drive unit. Slightly on the up side they have agreed a replacement. Edit Replacement was a new one. Happy days.
 17. What are these "high frequencies" I hear mentioned?

 19. If it's any comfort I have labelled all the notes on my Taurus bass pedals. Does help on a dark stage.
 20.
As discussed on this very forum.......... http://basschat.co.u...l-of-road-worn/
Thanks BetaFunk I was just about to post the same link. They all seem to be selling for outrageous prices though.
 21. Welcome. You will find a great deal of help, encouragement and fun in this community. You may aquire GAS, but that is to be expected. Learn to ignore the oblique humour or give as good as you get.
 22.
Welcome
I thought you weren't a number!
 23.
So it's a Fender Jazz. Apart from the body. And the pickups. And possibly the neck.
