1. Is it in rehearsals or live or both? If live then either get a long lead or wireless and take a walk out front for a listen. I do this at soundcheck. I can sound great off stage but don't like it onstage. Edit. I'm using GK Fusion 550 head, GLX 410 and RBH 210 cabs. Generally a Ric bass with a Kramer 8 string for some songs.
2.
If it was me I would be fitting a set of these bad boys http://www.ebay.co.u...=item20f1242d3a
Nice link. Just ordered a few sets for some builds that are on going.
3. A bit pricey for a bit of toilet humour. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BIG-BUTT-004-BASS-made-in-USA/171549373290?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D28111%26meid%3Ddf674f6e077e4a96b27c25fd9015ba09%26pid%3D100005%26prg%3D11472%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D141478616155&rt=nc
4. Their string prices are pretty cheap.
5. At sound check I walk around the hall (wireless kit) to check out the whole sound. More often than not what sounds great out there is pretty poor for me on stage.
6. Saw Steve Hacket a few weeks ago. Bass sound was great and that includes the bass pedals.
7. Google the speaker model number . This will give you loads of places that could help find replacement drivers. It's amazing how quiet a speaker seems without the HF.
8. It sounds to me that the compression (HF) drivers have blown. At not too loud a level play some full range music through them and put your ear near the HF units and see if you can hear the treble. (can I say that here). 2 ins and 2 outs usually means that they can be daisy chained with other speakers, but as they are 4ohm be careful if you do this.

10.
I have a similar one which I might sell, but I might keep it. Anyone interested?
This should be in Market place. Sell anything!
11. I guess you need one of these to wash it in.
12.
Where did you get your tele copy neck from? I have an old homebrew tele with a warped neck and I'm trying to source a decent new one for it.
Sorry this is a bit late. http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/Guitars-Basses-/3858/m.html?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEFSXS%3AMESOI&_ssn=willie--mcm This seller is fine to deal with. I also bought an all maple from him at the same time. Both necks are excellent.
13. When I was in Hi Fi retail many years ago when NAD was at its most popular, customers were often asking what it stood for. I just used to make things up ad lib.
14. Looks like the sort of thing I would make for a laugh
15. Get the girl to sit on your cab while you play. She won't get the same effect from the guitar cab.
16. Use an electric carving knife. Much easier than hot wire and less messy. If you can't find foam on eBay try an upholsterer.
17. I had a Mockingbird. Because of the looks. Awful neck dive on it, worse than a T Bird.
18. As a guide for you if I take my PA out for another band. Transport, set up and operate I charge £150 for a local gig, more depending on distance. PA is 24 Channel Soundcraft plus FX. Carlsbro active tops 400W. 4 custom built mids and subs. 4 Crown power amps. Six monitors. That's a bargain. If they want the lighting system its an extra £100 for my mate to set up and operate..
19. Use a VERY sharp blade (Stanley) to mark out the cavity on the surface. Do this gently a few times. This will help prevent any cracks, chips in the surface from spreading out.
20.
+1 Can be a bit harsh sounding, but light, powerful, easy to use. Can put a bit of kick through them if needed, but work well with an active sub. Plenty available second hand. Small mixer such as a Soundcraft efx8 and you're done!
Take a serious look at the Mackies. If I didn't need them I would go for them.
21.
Prog pose. what is the ,matter with you people

22. I bought my son one of these when he was 10. http://ariaguitarsglobal.com/product-category/products/electric-guitars/stg-series/
23.
I dare not listen.
I did . DOH.
24.
I always give it a day to settle between each set-up. Plus when tightening I hold the bass between my knees and pull back on the head slightly so the rod is not pulling the neck all on its own.
This. The recommended method for dealing with Ric truss rods.
