1. Did Entwistle ever play the same lines to a song twice?
2. The Oldest Record Shop in the World. http://www.spillersrecords.co.uk/ This is where I have done most of my music buying. Still a small family run business with the emphasis on customer service. Many years ago when Nick was running it I would go in on a Monday morning pick up a box of LP's that Nick had selected for me. I would play them throughout the week and return the ones I didn't like next Monday when I picked up the next box. Nick's selections were so good that I only ever returned two albums.

4.
Serial Grado user here. iGrado for the gym and '80s for everything else. Top phones with great sound stage, comfortable etc. My only criticism would be they are a bit leaky so others around you will get the benefit of what you are listening to.
+1
5.
Never heard of them, I use http://www.cardiffguitars.co.uk & http://www.noblesmusic.co.uk for the stuff I can't do.
+1
6. Sibelius here to. Also Photoscore which you use to scan music scores and import into sib . (can be a bit hit and miss though)
7.
Hey folks, I play about once a month at a church in Huddersfield, one of 5 bassists on a rota!! Also do a bit of PA ( I can officialy roll up cables ). Contemporary stuff and occasionally I can actually slap and it fits the song, funnily enough I can't fit any in 'Father God I wonder'
Can't get slap into this but the Taurus bass pedals add a certain depth.

9.
Now that's just being greedy!
Not greedy, just lucky in a way .Main drummer just turned 60 so not so keen on gigging much. 2nd is my son 19, taught mainly by main drummer. 3rd is always ready to step in if needed and only needs a quick run through of the set. All are excellent and great to play with.
10. You could try one of these, it works for me. http://www.bossus.com/gear/productdetails.php?ProductId=154
11. Hi all. Sorry I haven't come up with a date for the next Cardiff / Welsh Bass Bash yet but I have been a little busy. Anyway it was suggested that we try for February but now I think March may be a better idea. The venue will be the same if that's all fine with you guys and a Saturday will be the only day that the Church is free enough. For those that came to the last one I would appreciate any suggestions that may improve on the day and perhaps grow the attendance. as soon as I have a free Sat in March I will let you know. When it is finalised I will start a new thread to promote it
12. Cheers to that. We have a choice of three drummers, all are excellent
13. P bass cufflinks. Now need a shirt to wear them with.

Help BC

Bought the polo shirt a while ago so just just bunged a few quid over as a donantion
15. Funny , I was just thinking this the other day. There seem to be no great new Christmas songs. Perhaps the rise of the unreality shows took the edge of people trying.
16. How about a Bass Chat competition to design the web clip icon?
17.
And of course consider that any new record made in the last 20 years was most likely digital all the way until the acetate was cut.
Not all. Metropolis Studios in London often cut direct to acetate live from the recording studio.
18. Ok I'm a complete fan of vinyl and prefer it over CD. However the turntable has to be very good as does the CD player to get satisfying results. But how about digital streaming players? I don't mean cheapies, ipods etc or mp3. Get a listen to a good streamer from Linn or Naim playing flac or wav or studio master recordings. In a decent system these will blow away any CD player. For everyone's info the top spec turntable from Linn the LP12 now costs in the region of £20k
19. This may help http://i970.photobucket.com/albums/ae181/gelfin5959/Wiringplugs.jpg
20. Just read the review on this and I can't see replacing my Taurus 3 pedals. Just seems to much hassle to use. Taurus 3. Fully contained unit, 54 programmable pre-sets. OK price wise it may be attractive but just not for me.
21. Oily fish, eat lots of. Mackerel etc. seems to do OK for me.
