I presume you just shave a bit off the bottom of the bridge to compensate for the additional height. Did you need a preamp with that?

Thanks Bod, I'll check it out.

I used to use a GK700RB, which is an excellent amp. I now use the GK MB500 fusion, which is an absolutely awesome amp!! Through a 2x12 it sounds like it would be ideal for what you want to do. I think you'd struggle with just the one 12 though.

I am in the process of buying this Eko ABG from a fellow basschatter, and am trying to understand my options re fitting a pickup. I don't know a huge amount about acoustic pups, being mainly an electric player, but I'm looking for a mellow, natural sound, and I'm not a knob twiddler. I understand that the floating bridge on this bass will make options complicated as piezo pups amplify the movement of the bridge? Fishman do a replacement bridge with a piezo in for archtops: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fishman-PRO-ARC-TOP-Archtop-Guitar-Pickup/dp/B0002D06ZE/ref=pd_rhf_sc_p_t_1_DTGW (I'm amazed at how diverse Amazon's stock list has become!!) but will this work for a bass? Headway seem to do some nice stuff specifically for bass, such as this snake 3AB: http://www.headwaymusicaudio.com/product/snake-3-ab/ I don't know if this type of thing would work on the Eko though. Would either of these really need a pre? Could I use a VT bass as the pre? Could I install these myself (I'm pretty handy if it's not too detailed!). I'm kind of stabbing in the dark on this one, so if anyone can save me a few days of research and point me in the right direction, I'd be very grateful!! Thanks Rob
Whats the power rating? I've got a Trace Elliot GP7 SM 300.
Its rated for 700 watts, so shouldn't be a problem. I've got this listed on ebay now as well, and am considering an offer, but I'd much rather sell it here, so if anyone's interested let me know quick!!!

I'm moving on my SWR 4x10 as I need to buy a barefaced super twelve so will have to have a clear out!! This is a great cab, and a proper workhorse. It's in pretty good condition, some carpet scuffs and usual signs of use. No issues and sounds excellent. One speaker was blown (top left i think) when I bought it so I had to send it back to SWR for a recone. I'm looking for £300 for this. It can be tried in Spalding if you want, and delivered to a reasonable distance around Lincolnshire.
