1. Sorry if this sounds stupid but I confess watts ,ohms , and all confuses the hell out of my little brain ! I have an orange terror 500 head which ATM run in to a trace Elliot 2x10 8 ohm 300 watt cab , all seems fine but would like a bit more power for the larger gigs we do and have seen a 115 trace Elliot cab also rated the same as the one I am using now , would this be a good match s an extension cab do you think ? Ta in advance folks Gav
2. Got a brass nut put on my jazz and it defo makes a difference for the better , thinking of putting one on the jag now
3. I used to have it under my chin but like you am trying to come down gradually , I do find if I go too low it affects my playing though !
4. Cheers Deano , I see you are not too far away from us either , have you a vw too ? Had a fair few bugs over the years and had a splitty up until about 3 years ago when I sold it still miss that loads !
5. Well just to update on this ,.. We invited him in to one of our rehearsals so we could all meet and he could here us ,we didnt want to put to much pressure on him so I gave him 3 songs that we would be doing and if he wanted to join in he would be welcome , he turned up with his vintage guitar and marshal amp and must say he was really good , he had not even heard some of the songs we do before but soon joined in with them , although his little marshal wasn't up to it so we plugged him in to a old peavy we have spare at the rehearsal rooms and wam bam , sounding great , we are giving the spot to him if he wants it , should be good experience for him and feel that it will work out well for all of us really
6. So what causes a dead spot anyway ?
7. Ahh Didnt realise he has a book out , it was on this morning lozz , wake up tv or whatever it's called ! Friend of mine went to see him the other night at an evening with . Said it was good

9.
Sometimes I drop out in the middle of songs, just to see how long it takes for the other members of the band to figure out why they sound sh*t all of a sudden.
Lol this all day
10. Those strings suit that bass so much , love it
11. I would say most days I manage to get a bit in (ohh misus ) feel like something is missing if I don't have a little go at least !
12. So are you going to be playing it or is it just going to be in the house ? Bugger if you have to give up playing alltogether !
13.
Alright me 'andsomes . Liskeard eh Gub? We rehearse in the basement of Parade House, I'm just up the road in Pensilva.
Miles away from you then , little place called crows nest small world Ay ?

15.
I played in a band with a very young-looking 21 year old who wore round glasses. Me and the singer were in our 50s and pretty rough looking...we got a review saying it looked like the Stooges had kidnapped Harry Potter.
Genius reviewer
16. Lovely old bass at a great price , good luck with the sale
17. Great to see it again , huge thanks to ozmike
18. Cheers folks , well he is coming along to rehearsal next week , I have had a good chat with him and his mother on the phone and he seems very mature for his age and she sounds lovely , and said since he found out he was coming to the audition he hasn't stopped smiling ! Fingers crossed
19. We have recently been looking for a 2nd guitarist for the band and today had a call from a friend of mine and guitar tutor who I had given heads up if knew of anyone , well had a call from him today and says he has a chap in mind ( one of his students ) who is interested and he things would be great but he is only 15 ! We are a pub cover band ranging in ages from 21 to 45 , i have no problem with him being the age he is , hey eric clapton was 15 once ! just wondering if it would cause a problem playing in pubs etc ?
20.
Now I don't mind tuning in to the one show if only for a few minutes. It's good to get a daily fix of Alex Jones (top bit of totty) and Carrie Grant is a very foxy cougar. Mr. Grant's a lucky guy cuddling up to her every night
Sorry read this as Aled Jones ( top bit of totty ) and was about to say he has let himself go a bit these days so not any longer!
21. As a chap born and bred just outside Dudley , very interesting
