I would like to be able to use a pick as think I would like to be able to play all styles such as finger , slap etc to get the desired sound out of my chosen bass , just not got on with them so far !

Well after much deliberation and having to let our 2nd guitarist go we are now down to a 4piece , guitar ,bass, vocal and drums . We rehearsed last night and so far it's not sounding bad ,we may struggle with some songs and may have to drop some and replace with others which lend themselves to one guitar , Any tips from you guys would be great on getting a full sound , so far our guitarist has put more reverb on for solos and uses his les paul insted of his tele on some songs as seems to cut through better , and I have turned up a bit , and used my active ibanez which seems to sit well .

Oh I wasnt aware they came with slimmer neck options so always ruled them out with my jazz hands !

We have a last min one at a village fate , whether looking promising ATM down here

Suggested in rehearsals last night that we try and get more audience participation in the drop out bit in sex on fire and Rest of band loved the idea and we gave it a dry run with us doing the audience bits . We will try it out at gig on sat and will let you know the results

Yep I too was a one man bass of 20 years until I stumbled on basschat , now I am crawling through piles of gear to get to the kitchen and using my dingbat as a chopping board !

28 years for me although I did have my bass in the loft for 15 of those, I am ok at it, I enjoy it more than ever now though and that's what does it for me !
