1. Wow i really didnt see that one coming ! i didnt mean the comment to cause offence in the slightest ,it was meant as friendly banter and i have to say i have found most on here very open and friendly and the type that you can have a laugh and joke with even though we have not been formaly introduced or been life long pals.i tend to type what comes into my head ,well not everything that would be silly ! but in general people dont react like this!

3. cheers ,so it should be lighter than my aria sb 1000 which comes in at around 5.5 kilos ?

6. I found this very old picture out of me and a mate , this was my first bass but i am ashamed to say i cant even remember what make it was but can remember the day i got it from a second hand music shop very clearly!
7.
Gub - do you intend to play the fretless with a plectrum or not? I ask as doing tends to add a few factors that may take some getting used to.
no mate i never really got the hang of a pick ,i am all fingers and a thumb on the odd occasion!
8. i suffer with the neck width on some too, thats why i am looking into getting a fender jazz ,but the idea of swapping a neck seems like a good one, is it a straight swap? ie is the recess the same on the p and the jazz where the neck bolts on?
9. Glad you have found something that you enjoy mate, its not that easy ! sounds like the perfect setup with being able to do great well known songs but put your own spin on them .

Seems such a shame as i love the sound of them and they look amazing to me , just a shame it seemed that fender didnt put some higher quality stuff in it when they made them , i wonder if they stopped making them due to all the complaints or just due to lack of sales!
11. Looks sweet ,brt when you saw what it was wrapped in though you were wondering what state it would be in when you opened it!
12. Cheers guys theres some reallt usefull comments in there and it really helps ,i have seen an old antoria a while back on here which had an unlined face but lines on the top and just coming over the front a tad which i thought was a cool idea ,so will keep a look out for something like that but with active pickups i think .
13. Wouldnt mind getting a fretless to have a go on but would have to be lined as i have never even tried playing one before but do love the sound of them . how easy are they to get into after being used to playing frets and would i get away with playing one all night at a gig for rock numbers where a fretless wouldnt normaly be used. i guess i would just have to have another bass ready to to do some songs that didnt suit it !

Seems to be alot of talk if i do a search on jaguars of them being noisey ,i was just wondering if anyone has had that with one they own or have played?
15. Sorry if this seems a strange post but i wondered if anyone else keeps there plucking finger nails a bit long to get a little more attack, i cant seem to get on with a plec so its just something i have got used to i think i am not talking girl long long but just enough so i canstill play smooth if need be with the finger tips but also nail it if need be !
16. Must try these flat things , ok so now on next pay day i have to get myself a hat and a set of flats, coming on here always ends up with me spending more money!
17. Bump for a great bass, used lastnight at gig and rocked the casbah!
18. Bought from buff off this forum a couple of months back and am only selling it as getting gas big time need to raise some cash . two pickups are seymour duncan as they were changed as higher output ,the middle pickup is the standard one. sounds great and a nice slim neck . since owning it have had a buzz problem sorted so nice and quite now and has been set up nice and low by a local guitar luthier who does all the repairs for craigs music in bodmin and is well respected down here . plays lovely and is in great condition. price wise am looking for £180 plus postage. or of course it can be collected . i am in cornwall not far from liskeard and also my partner travels to somerset every week so could be collected form bristol area too !
19. i would normaly say the lighter looks best but i think the darker goes with the body colour better
