  2. well after many years of not being in a band i have been asked to join a local outfit and i think its come just at the right time for me as really want to get out gigging again . They are all set to go as well as there bass player left ,all i need to do now is learn the set be good to be out and about again!

  5. This is driving me bonkers as trying to learn it but having no luck ,any tabs i find do not make any sense to me as need words along side or i get lost and no body has posted a bass version on tube yet so if any one can help will be very greatful.

Hi all i recently bought this bass as had wanted one for ages but it has a problem when its switched to active mode it distorts really bad ,my local amp repaire guy has had a look at it and cant do much as he thinks the problem is in one of the componets that are incased in a hard black resin to stop you getting into it i spose! anyone got any ideas on where i go next with this? it sounds fine in pasive mode but would like to get the active sorted out really .

  12. Hey steve i think these are a work of art too mate and have just bought myself an 83 model in poduk finish and am loving it to bits , and am cracking out the jt bass lines but nothing new there really as i do a bit in a duran tribute band from time to time.

This whole debate reminds me of my vw days when i had a splitty,and on the various forums there was always a difference of opinion on new resprayed or just well looked after beetles and buses and the old beat up rat look ones . some people would take a nice shinny paint job and rub the hell out of it to make it look 30 years old!

  17. Following on from the songs you have to play thread but on the other side of the coin what are the songs that you never get sick of playing ? two of mine have to be londons calling by the clash and go your own way by the mac.
