Al.B
Hi all i was thinking of buying one of those new Fender Jazz 24 fret basses. It's the one with no pickguard and some kind of mid scoop circuitry. Obviously i will try it out for myself but if anyone has one or has tried one i'd be very interested to know what you think. It's easy to like a bass in the shop but with a full band, your own amp and at a gig it's often a different kettle of fish. cheers Al. Faithless
Oh, you mean that one American Deluxe with passive/active circuit?
David Nimrod
Oh, you mean that one American Deluxe with passive/active circuit?
It's made in Korea... and a very nice bass. Looks wise it depends if you like the no scratchplate Jazz style.

Machines
I've tried one and it was fantastic. Had a definite Miller vibe to the tone..
E_MaN
they are great basses however it ranges from basses to basses DRAMATICALLY. Some are excellent, some are the worst piece of sh*te I've seen. Make sure for definite that you try it out. There have also been stories of the circuitry frying out pretty soon. Faithless
For real? How's that all serious about?
Pearl_Jammin
I'm interested in one of these... I'm pretty much only play (traditional) Jazzes, but if this maintains some of the classic elements while obviously sporting a modern edge then I'm 100% interested. bassjamm
I played one a few weeks back. Build wise, i didn't rate the feel much, it felt inferior to my old USA Jazz by a long shot, the woods just didn't feel great. As for the sound, it was big and phat, i loved it...but you'd get the same sound from putting the same electronics into a different bass!!! Just my thoughts...having said that, if i found one that felt good, i'd be very tempted to purchase it!
