FT/FS. Sadowsky DI NOW SOLD

After buying this about a month or so ago off another member ive realised i prefer the tone altering BDDI more.

I have a Berhinger BD21 which works fine but i fancy something a bit better made.

Sooooo, i want to trade my Sadowky for a MkII BDDI.

I would say the Sad is worth more than the BDDI but im happy to do a straight swap for a good condition BDDI. I'd love a paradriver but these are pretty rare and im not going to spend any money on this. Not interested in a programmable BDDI as i want a small box, its just going to sit on my amp either on or off. I know the tone i want so that one tone is all i need

The Sad has a few marks on it. This is how it arrived (im the third owner as far as i know), no box or manual although this can be downloaded. It works fine though. Ive done a few gigs with it but to be honest its a bit too subtle to bother with, for me at least.

I want to do a trade but willing to sell after a week or so if i dont get any trade offers. I paid £120 and i want to get close to that, although i will include Uk mainland postage in this price so lets say £100 posted.

And now the pics. Sorry, its the best i can do. Its hard to photograph a black box.

Hi, I have a para driver maybe tradeis, i don't have a use for the para driver as much and us it mainly with the blend control off and set to on board pre-amp when using my jag. Mid at 3.2khz about 1.5 o'clock and bass at 3 o'clock.

How much more useful/better is this sadowsky di?

Thanks
Stephen

Hi Stephen.

To be honest I think the sad will be less useful to you.
Other than a DI it's more just a active bass and trebble booster.
It's not really a tone shaper like the Sansamp stuff.
Saying that, it does what it does very nicely, it's like it adds more lows and highs without really changing the tone.
Apparently it works best with Jazz basses rather than P basses

Not really much more to say about it, although there are lots of people that love it. I just find that I want something that will change my tone more than just enhance it.

I'm happy to trade but suggest you have a look around the forums etc and see what other people say about it. I doubt you will find any negatives but it may also not be what your after.

I'm in no hurrry so let me know what you think.

Cheers.

Hi Dave,

I have a Sansamp Bass driver, virtually as new, in box, if you'd like to trade. How do I make sure it's a mk 2 ?

Best Wishes Mike

Hi Mike. The MKII has the three switches on the top, the old one only has one.

Im happy to trade if you do have the MKII and want to but i would like to see what Stephen wants to do first as he asked first.

Thanks for the info, I did a bit of looking and I think I'll stick with the para-driver. I always forget how much more use I get with it when spanking the gaytar, it's defiantly more usual than when I use it with bass. I agree that sadowsky isn't tone altering, which is good, but the tech21 sound is fun to play around with and if I ever need it I've got a great grind pedal.

Thanks for waiting patiently.

No problem.

I thought you might say that, that's why i waited.

I too find the Sad a bit "boring". It does what it does very well and people swear by them but i think i want something that will give me a tone i cant quite squeeze out of my bass using just EQ.

I did have a VT Bass for a short while but found that was a bit too much.

So, Mike if your up for it im happy to trade, and if not still open to offers etc etc.
