eubassix
Clearing more (unused now) stuff ... Maestro (brand) electro-acoustic Mandolin: 8-string (4 pairs). Arch (bowl?) top and back with burst finish. Plays OK (I'm told) - action and electronics both fine. There's a few small dings or chips in various places (nothing major) .. but also a 'crease' between the lower part of the F-holes (about 1" below the bridge and 1/2" above the Vol. control) as somebody (not me!) tried to fit the bridge without first checking the correct location i.e. above the support brace (between the centre of the F-holes). I've used the original bridge with some maple veneer strips to get the correct height, which seems to work fine (and with no reduction in volume). The 'crease' has remained stable for months/years I did also buy a (correct) adjustable, arched bridge (ebony) but found that this requires work (reduction of the feet/arch) to be workable. I'll add a photo here and is available @ £10 Edited September 4, 2010 by eubassix
