martthebass Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 I've been trying hard to pick up a nice used Ray/Sterling or US Jazz fretless for the last couple of months - all to no avail, must be in short supply or much loved by their owners. So, reluctantly I'm loooking at going new. The best price I've found for a Ray/Sterling is c.£1200 (out of my budget I'm afraid) and £945 for a new model US Jazz (just about doable at a push). Anybody know anywhere that can beat those? Cheers, Mart Quote
guybrush threepwood Posted August 29, 2010 Posted August 29, 2010 To be honest, I don't think you'll beat that Stingray price, I've just paid a lot more than that for mine! However, the finish makes a big difference to the price. I have seen US Jazz basses for £900, I think it was on the gak or digital village website, although there have been quite a few for sale on here, and most of them look 'as-new'! Quote
martthebass Posted August 29, 2010 Author Posted August 29, 2010 Cheers, that's about what I thought. Deals on fretless Jazz not as easy to come by as fretted. Quote
guybrush threepwood Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 Ah sorry mate, I totally missed the part where you stated it was a fretless you were looking for. Quote
