Happy Jack Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010
120v?
The original WTX 260 could operate on any voltage. The WTX 500 comes pre-set for either 120v or 240v. If you buy one in the States and bring it over, it'll be 120v. There's a simple internal jumper to be moved from one slot to another to "convert" from 120v to 240v. Even an electrical ignoramus like me can do it. BUT you have to open the casing and invalidate the Warranty in the process.
Oldman Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 I'm confused, (its an dage thing) Is it 120v or has the warranty been invalidated and it now runs at 240v?

I'm assuming it has because there is no mention of a voltage converter.

If the amp is bought from the States you have to open the case and move the jumper from the 120v spot to the 240v spot, which i have done and it plays perfectly fine with NO issues at all. If one was bought over here in the UK Eden would have moved the jumpers to the 240v spot themselves.. So the difference is you moving the jumper or someone else. On Eden's website they have a link of what to do, if it needs to be done.. Simple as abc... It is done and works 100% fine on 240v...When u go to the website look at Edens manuals on the right side and you'll see WTX-500 120-230 volt conversion click there and Wallaaaa.. n http://www.eden-electronics.com/info/manuals/index.asp dw Edited September 15, 2010 by wolldav
