Chris2112
Still looking pretty there! I'd have thought this would have flew out the door given the resurgence of interest Level 42/Mark King but it just goes to show how slow the market is at the moment Gary! I would guess that with a wooden body it would be slightly warmer and not so bright and snappy. cocco
I was thinking along the same lines. I'm looking for sound files or a you tube vid of a graphite one but they're all wood. I've very recently fallen in love with status. I think they're an aquired taste. Like Guinness
BassBus
There are quite a few all graphite vids on youtube, here's some. Stealth 6 string Streamline Stealth 6 string I have an all graphite S2000 and an S2. As Gary said the wooden S2 has a warmer sound with the S2000 having a brighter tone. Both are just as good as each other. Chris2112
I think had it been one of the "natural" graphite ones (black colour) it would have walked out the door itself! Especially in the olden days when Status values were a little less. Although, did these ones ever have issues with the necks? I recall, from somewhere at the back of my mind, that there might have been issues with the necks on these shifting back in the day if you used light strings? Chris2112
I'd keep your eyes on the markets! At the gallery they've just sold a 1980's S2 fretless for £1199 and at Sounds Live Newcastle they had a bolt on S2 which looked brand new (and couldn't have been more than a year old) for £1000. Keep your eyes open and you'll grab a bargain
