gjones
I've got an old Ashdown EB 150 watts and it's definitely loud enough to deal with a loud drummer (it has many times). You can get them for £100 secondhand and they have an output for an extension speaker if you need it. Great amps for the price.

chris_b
....I've got an old Ashdown EB 150 watts and it's definitely loud enough to deal with a loud drummer (it has many times)....
So that's only 75 watts into the internal speaker! There seems to be a much wider definition of loud in use than I was expecting!
JTUK
I know I play with a light touch..but there is no way 100watts is going to cope with a screaming valve gtr..IME. If you can make it work, then ok...but I would expect the EQ to be working OT to cut through rather than be a delight to play.
