that looks cool! I think this one was on GBase some time ago and the description said that it had had some corrosive liquid spilt on it at somepoint...might be a different one to this but looks very similar.

You're right of course but it could be a deliberate ploy whereby interested parties go to his website/shop and buy it direct, thereby circumventing eBay fees! Cynical... Moi!

But I couldn't find the bass in the forum thingy that masquerades as The Low End on-line shop...

How do you get a bass into that kind of state? I can understand that the finish might wear in the areas where it comes into contact with moving arms etc., but how do you wear the finish off the whole front of the bass?
