plechem
Hi all, I've seen this question mentioned in another thread, but no real answer yet... I've bought a Stagg EDB from a mate, and it's got a single strap button at the base of the neck. My mate had never noticed it before! Can anyone tell me how to actually use this to attach a strap? Both end of a single strap to the same button like on a sax? Or one end of a strap to the button and tie the other end to the top of the neck like on a classical acoustic? (Can't see how this would help...) Any advice gratefully received! -Phil
Dave Holden
I just bought one of these myself and noticed it last night. Looks like a waste of time, I wont be strapping that to my neck anytime soon, it might break me Let me know if you come up with any answers. Mateybass
Well, as it happens, I've used this strap button quite successfully on stage. Just an ordinary webbing type guitar strap attached at both ends to it. It goes over your left shoulder and under your right armpit. Adjusted so it's reasonably tight to pull the hip brace against you, you can actually lift the whole instrument up with it with no hands. gapiro
(thread revival batman) I noticed this last night, then realised, the other strap is on the stand. Its actually not thatttt bad playing it like a normal bass But think its meant to be for carrying
