What is it worth?

Hi All,

What should I expect to pay for a Hofner Contemporary Violin bass which is as new and about a year old? Antique sunburst in colour -does not come with a case.

Any ideas anyone?

Any info would be appreciated. I think they are about £450 new so how do I work it out?

You can get one new for under £400. I wouldn't want to pay more than £300 for an absolute minter, in fact I want it for a bit less than that, after all, it is second hand, £275?

Is it only Thomann who sell them for under £400? Their hard cases are cheap too!! Is there anyone in this country who sells them at this sort price?

Wow thanks for that!! I didn't realise anyone in this country did them at that price as none showed up when I was doing searches. Would anyone recommend Chamberlain?

Finally, does anyone in this country do the Hofner Ignition bass at competitive 'european' prices? Chamberlain don't list them.

Google will generally find anything you want. I can't vouch for the stores though, don't know them.
