ergon
I absolutly cannot wait till christmas! there is in my front room a wrapped box containing a shiny new RBX 375 and i can't go near it , i feel like a 4 year old, except when i get my present i won't destroy it like a four year old. knowing my luck however it won't have a battery in the pre amp and i'll have to wait till the 27 to get the most out of the bass. can't.... wait.... dying..... urgh... urrrrgh. john_the_bass
go and buy a battery now - that way, if there is no battery in the preamp, you will have one ready to put in!
Bilbo
So buy a battery just in case. You should always have a spare anyway.

Machines
Haha - I thought the same before reading the replies, get with it son ! Nice purchase though, what colour did you go for ?
queenofthedepths
In fact, get multiple batteries and a charger! Saves loads of hassle and money buying more in the long run, especially if you're like me and end up with 9 active basses in a couple of years' time... ergon
Nice purchase though, what colour did you go for ?
had to be flat silver, just looks so clean and new
queenofthedepths
Oh yeah and when it's finally yours, don't forget to post on here: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=9991&hl=
Machines
Yeah the flat silver is the nicest of the options. My RBX775 is flat blue at the moment, i'm going to strip it and see if the wood is good enough for a natural grain.
ergon
i would have loved to get a 775 but it's pricey, how does it handle?
Machines
It's fine, i've had it over 3 years now and defretted it about 9 months ago. Sounds great - only the preamp lets it down (not much EQ control).

Machines
I got bored of it being fretted and did it when I was drunk. Did a good job though... i've got the opportunity to swap it for an RBX765 which is fretted, don't know what to do.
ergon
personally i would stay fretted but home 'adapted' basses I feel deserve to stay with their creators, one of my mates has a peavy and has reipped the frets off (done quite a good job) and has given it a few scars over time, he doesn't play it but can't bear to part with it. however on this ocassion i would jump for a fretted but thats just me... i know get drunk and see how you feel after that
