This woman is my go to music for most of my lifes soundtrack...never mind being pissed off... Anita Baker..Same ole Love...Check the understated Nathan East Slap bass...wonderfull stuff....Im sur Pete and Molan will love this one.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F9dytLAEPYE A bit of Floyd....i cant put into words how good this track is...they always blow me away.. Dood Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 Hmmm, I'm not sure. Thinking about it, what lifts me out of a mood quickest is being allowed to just noodle on my bass and have a decent cuppa nearby too! - My mood tends to dictate where my noodling goes - be it aggressive or whatever - but yeah, it will cheer me up pretty much everytime. Kiwi Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 At risk of blowing whatever musical credibility I have left out of the window, these worked for me recently. All cheesy as hell but the hooks are real brainworms. Quote
gary mac Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 My cheer up track is Roam, by the B52's. Not a fan of theirs but just always enjoy that particular number. Quote
the_skezz Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 Hard to say...usually, when I'm in a bad mood, I'll listen to something angry (Metallica's 'Battery, Judas Priest's 'All Guns Blazing', etc) which tends to get me in an even worse mood while it's on. As soon as the song finishes, I tend to suddenly calm down Quote
parker_muse Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 Rude Boy's Outta Jail (Re-Recorded/Re-Master) - The Specials. Quote
thisnameistaken Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 Singing is what lifts me out of a funk so anything I can sing along to. Sometimes it's Beach Boys or Toots & The Maytals, could be Cud or Elvis Costello, maybe Cypress Hill or Beastie Boys. Whatever. Quote
JamieBenzies Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 Teen Town live with the 5 minute jam of doom. That makes me feel great everytime. An alternative is all of Led Zeppelin's Physical Graffiti, Custard Pie always gets me going and the rest is just, well, perfect...mmmm... Quote

jim_bass Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 To get me out of a bad mood... I like to listen to Basket Case by Green Day. At the minute the latest Less Than Jake Album always puts me in a good mood. Also Should I stay or should I go by The Clash. Quote
