purpleblob Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010
All those thoughts like "you only live once", etc. rush through my head again :-)
You took the words out of my mouth
flippyfloop Posted October 10, 2010 Author Posted October 10, 2010 After trying out virtually ever bass in the country, I've decided to keep my Fodera for now. My finances are looking up at present so thats a relief. If nothing else, this situation has made me appreciate just how amazing this bass is for my needs. I've played some awesome basses recently but whenever I grab the Fodera for comparison, OMG it just smokes. Partly familiarity for sure but they really do deserve their reputation, even if they are a bit pricey these days. I do have major GAS for a Wood and Tronics five string now also. Really nice basses.......
AndyTravis Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 This is stunning - I've seen loads of buckeye basses with filled in areas, and the ones on this are not that noticeable at all. I wish I had anything to offer...I don't *weeps*.
flippyfloop Posted March 30, 2011 Author Posted March 30, 2011 (edited) Thanks Wes. Edited March 30, 2011 by flippyfloop

lozbass Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 A very sensible price for a very desirable bass. Given the current frenzy around Foderas, I'm surprised this was still here at £4300. Bump.

It really is an amazing bass. I'll post up some measurements soon as requested.
flippyfloop Posted May 7, 2011 Author Posted May 7, 2011 Bump. Please don't make me put this on eBay Back home after weekend so will post measurements then.
alanbass1 Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 Such a nice bass - it's just the wrong time to sell anything at the moment. Good luck with the sale
yybass Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 Fodera basses went for 5500.00 plus recently here on Basschat and there are guys out there making private deals for basses worth £4000.00 plus, you go my friend
silverfoxnik Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 A free BUMP just to say that I played this bass a few years ago when Andre was selling a Wal Mach II which I went over to check out for Mike G.. He'd only just got the Fodera at the time and it was really interesting to be able to compare it directly with the Wal.. Though they're very different animals and I do love Wal basses, the Fodera had something just a little more 'exotic' and 'boutique' about it...Hard to put it into words exactly, but the only other bass I've played that had a such a similar quality, was an Alembic.. Anyway, the Fodera really is a fabulous instrument and that pre-amp is something special... Good luck with the sale!
flippyfloop Posted May 21, 2011 Author Posted May 21, 2011 Thanks for the comments guys. Surprised this is still here ! Not a good time to sell...
