Hey!

Been playing for 3, almost 4 years. Completely lost on a forum site  . Looking for bass chat, I love to learn new stuff about amps, set ups, musical ideas etc etc etc, all of it!

I also have seriously incurable G.A.S since I can't afford most things (yet)

Interested in purchasing and selling online so if anybody can give me any tips on how to do so effectively would be great

Hope to get to know some great new people and possible (albeit unlikely) finding a new band! Speaking of bands I have been in 3 bands doing Bass and Vocals, in one I did Guitar and Vocals, but I tend to keep that quiet :)

Cheers!

UH-OH! Bass chat will not help you overcome this problem. If anything, it'll make it worse lol

P.S. WELCOME!

Hello, and welcome to the forum.

As for selling gear - I have had very little experience of places like gumtree or ebay - and of that, most of it was bad.

On this site, I have even less experience - only having bought one bass - but the process was very painless, and very rewarding.

If you are selling, I would make a point of reading the rules - in particular the one about including a price!!! (methods of payment accepted could also be useful) - It would also help to include a good description and some photos ( there are some threads pinned in some of the sub-forums about how to add photos to your posts), the clearer the better..............Oh! and it would help if you included your location, at least the general area - especially if you are wanting pick-up only, cash on collection, or offering to let people try before they buy.

I'm sure some-one else will be along to offer better/further advice on buying, and selling - but for now.....have fun.

Thank You for all your kind words! Looks like this site is a definite keeper!

One question.. How do you bump your status from Newbie to beyond? And advice with other various forum info E.g signatures and what not would be greatly appreciated!

Just keep posting. Simple. It doesn't take long to get out the starting blocks

Welcome to Basschat. I`ve found buying/selling to be incredibly straightforward on this site, and all of the people I`ve bought things from, or sold to have been very easy to deal with, with good comms throughout.
