dougal
So, long story short I have to select two rock-a-billy songs for a charity gig, and I've never played any. Does anyone have any suggested: * artists / songs for something relativly simple but fun to play & listen to and * on-line resources or lessons on how to play rockabilly on the upright. w.r.t. the latter, my bass is set up for classical (my main gig) and I don't intend to change it: will this present a problem? slap_it_hard
I could have sworn he asked for Rockabilly, but Demented Are Go, thats some of the most Psychobilly stuff you can get!!! P.S. Thats my bass teacher playing on that! Try some Carl Perkins or early Elvis (54-56) Edited September 6, 2010 by slap_it_hard
slap_it_hard
Do you know how to slap, if not, you're pretty buggered for Rockabilly!
lojo
Im on this forum thinking about px'ing a P bass for a double bass and could not help noticing this post We do Stray cats strut and Rock this town (stray cats) in our party set (i use electric bass though) Both songs are double bass on the record, are well known and go down very well, at least with the middle aged crowds we play to, so they maybe good choices
