They're like works of art. The back of that neck looks seriously good and 9500 year old bog oak for the bridge, where does he get this stuff
throwoff Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 I think I read in Bass guitar mag that he got the bog oak from the bottom of the river in Frankfurt when it was being dredged! The dredger pulled up a 9,500 year old piece of oak and he decided to make basses from it. Bottom one on here is quite an example of it! Really love this thread's fretless and it's not too OTT (apart from the bolt on neck ). Shame I have no money, but I'll just keep drooling if I may
senmen Posted September 8, 2010 Author Posted September 8, 2010 I am also willing to trade in something partially......
carlc64 Posted September 8, 2010 Posted September 8, 2010 wow - it would be humbling to have a bass with parts older than Stonehenge!
xgsjx Posted September 8, 2010 Posted September 8, 2010
I am also willing to trade in something partially......
I'm tempted to let you trade it in towards my Ibanez but the sentimental value is too high. I was admiring this bass on the Ritter website last month & trying to work out what/who I could sell. Best of luck with the sale.

chuck_stones Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 Sweet mother of God. I'll be, if that isn't one of the most amazing things I've ever seen. Never even heard of Ritter instruments before now; looking at their website, the basses ought to be considered national heritage sites. Crazy beautiful, BUMP.
