This bass enjoys a stunning high grade AAAAA (5A) Flame Maple top over a very compact lightweight African Mahogany body which is further enhanced by a high gloss finish. The neck is comfortable and extremely fast with easy access to all notes across the neck. The B string is full, clear and balanced with the other strings and playable in all positions up and down the Morado fingerboard.


This bass features the new John East (UK) / Pete Skjold (USA) custom three band pre-amp with active blend (pan) for the pickups. This bass preamp allows you to determine the frequencies at which the treble, middle and bass operate allowing to find the sweet spots that suit your playing techniques and preferred tones!!

I have used this bass since purchasing it from Bass Direct 2 months ago, only for a few recording sessions. It cost me £3000 GBP. It will feature heavily on a new album recorded with Max Middleton (Jeff Beck, Rollin' Stones, Chris Rea).

The bass for is totally "as new condition" with only light playing and minimal fret wear as described above. All tools and Spec Sheet from Pete Skjold, including a lifetime warranty! This auction is open to ebayers Worldwide.

Unfortunately due to unforseen personal circumstances (illness) I will have to part with my beloved Skjold bass. Pete makes in my and many, many recognised bass players opinions some of the very best custom/handmade basses on the planet. I won't be surprised that this bass will be a firm investment as the value of this instrument will only go up.
