BobVbass
I know it won't be a true DB sound but I reckon it will be better than a schaller and hopefully no feedback! oldslapper
Bob, I love my Schaller, prefer it to a mic/piezo. But then I'm not exactly a sophisticated player, so take no notice of me...................who said that???
TPJ
I've got an old Schaller I don't use. I'll send it to you to try if you like.
BobVbass
yeah that's what I use at the mo - great for no feedback but not the most refined sound - hence the idea for a bracket to use EMGs + the schaller rattles worse than my beetle engine. I have bass max a well and use it with a fishman platimun pro (which is excellent) - great sound but feeds back at the volume I need to play at

IF the latter then you can drop some nail varnish on them to keep the rattling to a minimum. BassBod
I couldn't stop the Schaller rattling when I tried it in my ply bass. I have got a custom made Kent Armstrong magnetic I'd be happy to sell. Was originally fitted to my Clifton EUB, but I took it off years ago because it sounded like a huge Pbass (as all mags tend to, I guess?). Its designed to fit a "standard" 3/4 bass fingerboard, and mounts with a single screw, two other screws that fit into holes as anchors and a rubber gasket that doubles as a template. Connection is a single phono socket. I'll take some pics if anyone is interested....

Like the idea of another Schaller, but yours sounds interesting. John
