tonyf Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 Hi All, I want to replace the 2 x VOL configuration on my EMG BTS EQ equipped Spector with a VOL and PAN. At the same time as I've got the back open, I want to replace the other pots too. Reason? I've had the preamp for years and it's been in and out of a few of my basses. The centre indents on the bass and treble tone controls now feel a little indistinct so would like to return them to "new feel". Does anyone know the type of pots for the vol/pan/bass/treble I should be ordering (and places where I can get them)? Aside from 25k audio taper, I've not got a clue. Cheers T Quote
JimBobTTD Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 EMG sell spare bits themselves - I'd go to my local guitar shop and ask them to sort you out. Quote
Dood Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 If you're in any doubt, I recommend sending a mail to EMG support. I think the guy I usually end up chatting to, Rick is always very helpful and knows his stuff. - I have seen EMG harmesses and components come up on eBay - so hopefully armed with the necessary component information, you might be able to pick up a bargain. Mcgiver69 Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 (edited) You need to buy a 50k balance pot, the wiring is on the web and very simple to do. Edited September 19, 2010 by Mcgiver69 Quote
