tonewheels
Hi people Just joined. Name is Dai. Lurking for a while and then saw an item for sale I liked and that prompted me to sign up. Middle aged bass, Hammond, guitar player. Used to gig a lot around Surrey delta blues circuit on guitar, bass or (mostly) Hammond (if you play a real Hammond, you're never short of a gig). Sort of given it up becasue I got bored with playing blues. Now playing in an Americana kind of band and doing weird experimental stuff at home. Got a fledgling psychedelic outfit on the go as well (The Golden Birdies). Music influences are Zappa, Beefheart etc , people like Robert Wyatt. 6music on a Sunday afternoon type of stuff. Bass heroes - Norman Watt Roy, Bernard Edwards, Jaco, Lawrence Cottle Bass Gear: '64 Rickenbacker 1999 (Euro designation for 4001S) '62 Hofner Artist '99 MM Stingray '74 Ampeg SVT and 8x10" Ashdown ABM EvoII 500W Ashdown 1x15" and 4x8" mini cabs EBS Multicomp
molan
Big Welcome from me, liking those influences a lot, If you can carry a real Hammond around then it comes as no surprise that you also own an SVT & an 8x10 Have you thought about merging your bands - an experimental, psychedelic Americana band sounds like a lot of fun. . .
