It's a Line6 Backtrack. The basic way you use it is to connect it inline between the bass/guitar/other instrument and the amp. Switch it on and it waits for you to start playing, then records till you stop. Then it saves it to a wav file and waits for the next passage. You can transfer the files to a computer using the supplied (and very short) USB cable. No box or manual (but manual available on website as PDF). In good working condition. This is the basic version, without the built-in microphone. As it's a line input, you would need a preamp to record from a mic, or possibly take a line out from a PA/mixer.
