Happy Jack
No great mystery - he's selling a Sadowsky, it says Sadowsky on the headstock in his own photographs, but he's listed it as a Shadowsky thereby wiping out any chance of Saved Searches finding his listing. It's no big deal, I just found it amusing. As to warning the vendor, Ahpook, it's your call mate.

Colledge
okay, i'll admit it, i always thought they were called shadowsky, not sadowsky. i have no idea how or why.
neilb
The seller has mistyped the name of the bass TWICE whilst creating this listing. If I spent that amount on a bass that he claims he has, I would make damn sure I knew what it was bloody called. I would question the provenance of this item myself. RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE
Looked at it a second time, and I think it's now got over 6 days to run. Having said that, to me , it looks like a cheap Fender copy .I know it isn't , but It doesn't do it for me Edited September 11, 2010 by RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE

warwickhunt
Mis-spellings like this or mis-classifications provide opportunities for canny buyers. Like this:- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Vintage-series-04-62...=item4aa45507e7 Sold for £599 - probably because the seller did not include "bass" in the description. £599 is a steal for these basses that cost more in sunburst and are available new here for £1539:- http://www.dv247.com/guitars/fender-americ...sunburst--41159
I sold my 2009 USA P bass (sunburst), upgraded with a BA and Nordy pups (Jazz pup added by The Bass Gallery) for not much more than this; even though that may appear cheap it is basically the going rate for used instruments! As regards the Sado... I'd be inclined to be a tad suspicious of someone that owned a Sadowsky bass and didn't even know how to spell it (especially as has been noted, it is big and bold on the headstock). goaround
To be fair to the seller its only been used in the front room of the house, if you were serious bass players you would know how important this is when buying a used Shadowsky - and its a beautiful fantastic playing guitar!
