No great mystery - he's selling a Sadowsky, it says Sadowsky on the headstock in his own photographs, but he's listed it as a Shadowsky thereby wiping out any chance of Saved Searches finding his listing.

It's no big deal, I just found it amusing.

As to warning the vendor, Ahpook, it's your call mate.

My excuse is that I'm tired... :)

Like this:-

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Vintage-series-04-62...=item4aa45507e7

Sold for £599 - probably because the seller did not include "bass" in the description.

£599 is a steal for these basses that cost more in sunburst and are available new here for £1539:-

I sold my 2009 USA P bass (sunburst), upgraded with a BA and Nordy pups (Jazz pup added by The Bass Gallery) for not much more than this; even though that may appear cheap it is basically the going rate for used instruments! :)

As regards the Sado... I'd be inclined to be a tad suspicious of someone that owned a Sadowsky bass and didn't even know how to spell it (especially as has been noted, it is big and bold on the headstock).

But 95% of [s]Squire[/s]Squier owners don't know how to spell it, despite being writ large upon their headstocks. I don't think it's any worse than that...

A reasonable point, but in fairness at least there is a well-known word in English that is spelled "Squire".

I haven't often come across "Shadowsky". :)
