Hello all,

I need some space and as I have not played this in a while it will have be the first to go.

Ibanez Blazer. Made in May 1982. Condition is rough, cosmetically, but easily playable and sounds great. The neck needs some attention to straighten it out. Plenty of character (ie dings, varnish worn through etc!). Does NOT include the flightcase, this is up for sale here http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=101939

Check out the pics and any questions welcome.

Can you describe a bit more how the neck is - how un-straight is it!

It's slightly bowed in the middle and needing a good set up, low at bottom, high at top end. It still plays ok. Here's a pic to try and help.

This is indeed a cracking bass for the price, I have it on very good authority that if you compare one of these with a Fender precision the sound from these basses will be just as good  I would think that any competent DIYer will be able to bring this back to good as new if required, have a bump on me :)

To be honest, there's not much to know - have you got an allen key that will fit it? Slacken the strings off, and tighten the rod a little at a time and see if the neck straightens. If it doesn't turn fairly easily best not to force it, but if it turns, straighten the neck out & then tune it up. You'll probably find the bass plays a lot better and you won't want to sell it!
