Pickguard for Squier P-bass

Hi.

What tipe of pickguards can be used to a Squier P-bass?
Some people say that Fender USA or Mex or Precision Bass Pickguards don't are for Squier, only doing changes on the pickguard, and I don't want to make any changes. I fitted a Fender scratchplate to my son's Squire P bass, and on his all but 2 holes lined up ( holes not seen with the scratchplate on ), had to drill 2 holes as they were about one eighth of an inch out. Also I had to file a little off the pup hole to make it fit.

Are you talking the new Squier CV or a JV, SQ, Chinese, Jap? It does make a difference. It'd be just as easy to get The Bass Doc to make you a one from scratch (no pun intended) and you'd be sure of the holes lining up, he uses only the best ply and they are spot on for quality and fit.

It's a Squier P-bass afinitty series
