I’ve donated the Ashdown 8x10” and a Laney 4x10” to a local music venue. They will be used as in house backline, once gigs happen again, and also in their new recording studio they’re setting up in their basement. So for now my rig is this (apologies in advance to those of a sensitive nature): it sounds bloody good. In fact I prefer it to the 8x10”. Next year I’ll be looking for something new, cab wise. Not decided on what yet... When you do get a new cab next year, if you decided to sell those on I might be interested. I've been thinking about a Mini48 / Mini15 double stack. 🤔

Bankai
In my 10+ years on this forum, I’ve seen countless members remark that if only they were younger and had a better back, they’d be running X or Y rig. I therefore feel it is my civic duty as a 28 year old with a functioning spine, to own such a rig. Sadly it’s consigned to a storage unit at the moment because COVID. I present you a ‘97 USA made SVT-II Pro, complete with a battered USA made SVT-810E. Yes, it truly is what dreams are made of.

But for the bigger venues I got a second AE 410. And the Aguilar with 8x10 is just massive

Jonse
Don't think I've posted in this thread. Google photo on my phone has an 'on this day' feature and today is the 3 year anniversary of this rig. Haven't got the Mustang any more though.

Jack
You know, some people complain that those WA heads are quiet. I don't suppose you've found that problem?
Muzz
I really cannot understand it when people say that - with the Super Twin it's very, very loud (plenty for hearing-protection-in rehearsals with 2 x Marshall 100w/410 geeetards and a shed-building drummer) and with both cabs it's stacktastically deafening...I had the chance a while back to run it through a rehearsal room Ampeg fridge, and it was huuuge through that, too... It sounds like your geeetards need to speak to my geeetards - I have them nicely trained with lunchbox heads - usually at 7w which are plenty loud enough and actually sound better as they're being driven hard instead of just ticking over at gig volumes Edited December 9, 2020 by DaytonaRik

Sorry if it wasn't obvious from the post (there was a smiley!) but I was being flippant, those cabs would be more than sufficient for any head I'm sure. Muzz
Oh noooo, no need to apologise; I wasn't snipping - it's just head-scratchingly odd that something so loud sometimes gets described as not loud enough; I'd suspect it was my ears had I not been told to turn down by so many people... 😕😀 Edit: lack of smileys on my part... 😕 Edited December 9, 2020 by Muzz

Jack
Don't think I ever posted my new rig in here actually. Same as the old rig in concept, just a lot smaller and easier to work with, which is very important given my incredible laziness. Out with the old full-fat Helix and Barefaced FR800s, in with the Stomp and (a pair of, if needed) QSC K12.2. I don't actually run the Stomp straight into the wedge normally (although it works fine for that), it usually goes to the XR18 we use as a desk so that I can add vocals, a hpf and any other eq the venue needs. So it's not a 'rig' so much as it's a picture of my pedalboard and stage monitor, but whatever.
