Our guitarist booked me one of these for tonight's rehearsal as a special treat.  I have now popped my SVT cherry. 300W is plenty.

How do the strategy and prodigy compare to the 400?

Well all three have that signature Mesa grindy tone to them. The Prodigy being 250w has the closest character to the Bass 400 being 240w, so pushing with your playing has the most similar push-pull dynamic.

The Strategy is just gobs and gobs of power. At 465w its hard to push the dynamics with your plucking/playing, it just stays cleaner but gets awefully loud and hits really hard. My former drummer would complain the bass would shake through his bones if I set it too close to him.

Had a gig with the ABBA tribute last night and boy, that little Sadowsky is one of the cheapest basses I own but it's very quickly growing to be one of my favourites. What an amazing instrument.

I have a HDN 112 & 210. The classic 322. Now for most gigs I just bring a single cab, but the joy of modular is having something ready if you need more.

It may have been you that inspired the rig! I remember seeing one on BC!
