Bedroom / kitchen practice stack... :D I DI 'usually' (ha, gigged twice in my life :D) local second hand shops, 2 guitar practice amps for 15 quid each, with a behringer ultra g 4x12 emulator box up front and a bunch of pedals! I kinda like it! :D

I love the idea of a female bass player having a 'kitchen' rig!

it's sideways

Bollocks! Won't help at all. Worse even, you risk shorter valve life.
Please stop spreading this unscientific treehugger nonsense.
:P

best,
bert

PS
My own OTB is upside down.
Now that's sound quality. Controls at 12 and it's just like a Glockenklang!

Here's my new rig. I am seriously impressed by both the head and the cab B)

Groan...GAS...GAS to change my enormous GK rig to something both lighter and smaller...must resist...

What is that small box next to the head?

Yes, the head and cab weigh 50 lbs combined. The cab is a pretty easy one arm lift!

The little box is a Korg tuner.

Have to say, having been a long time geetar player and got quite bored with the luddite 'it must be a fender twin or a marshal JCMPLEXI350 and look like its from 1942' attitude on guitar forums, i'm loving all the different shapes and colours and sizes of bass rigs here! :)

So I thought I'd already shared my rig pic here, but I can't seem to see it in this thread, although I have just shared the same pic over in the epic monster Shuker thread, but its probably more appropriate here I guess? So here it is......

See my signiture below to see what it all is. Such a lovely warm sounding, yet clear and articulate rig.... Its almost a modern day paradox! Love it!

Regards
G!

Here we go again, in a barn this time, guitarist pinched my Midget so I was with the Compact. Having played the Midget so much it was a bit of a change in sound, the Compact missing the treble and aggression - don't need that much of it but for 'Someone Else's Guy' it was treble up on everything to get some zing.

And here's a (rather blurred) image during the sound check of the Midget in emergency guitar use with the little Crate that kicks around for these occasions. Guitarist (who is excellent, btw) loves it!

It did actually, the little Crate is good as a backup for guitar or (less so) bass and can just kick around in the car awaiting it's time. The Midget is hardly getting into its stride and is bright enough for a really good guitar sound (tweeter turned to about 1/3 setting).

The Compact/Streamliner is a warm sound, maybe a bit too much so for some, I pushed up the mid on the amp but it's a very powerful little combination.
