The 2nd upgrade to my rig arrived today, an Aguilar DB680 preamp that I will run with a LabGruppen Lab1000 power amp. Was totally blown away by how nice the DB sounds, fat but defined and very much alive. Without doubt the best single piece of bass equipment I have ever bought! I'm in looooove!! :)

All gone now but remembered fondly. Esp that black status.

its about the quality .
think i could roll the timbre down a bit on the thundefunk head and get some deep bass,
then still have the dual channels onthe epi so i could have three different channels in one night!!!!

Nice one dude! Your little bro knows one of my pupils, we were talking about you today! He liked your old Markbass rig but I think I would prefer this one :)

Is it terribly sad that the first thing I noticed was the Laney Klipp?

Just glad no-one notice the top amps are just sleeves because I couldn't lift whole ones that high. That lady was about as tall as me in those heels and wanted to have a full length backdrop of amps. They did suggest I add the SC200 to the top of the pile, I said 'Sure, pass it up to me.'.

The delicate sound of thunder. Two T-40s (normally the sunburst one though) through a sansamp into an Orange AD200 and OBC 8x10. Absolute monster.

I bet that sounds stunning. I'd love to have an Orange 8x10.

Thanks man! She is a monster to be sure. Blows the Ampeg out of the water and is lighter too. It's still an 8x10 though but I genuinely wouldn't be without it :)

Yesterday, I finally bited the bullet and changed my Ampeg B-2RE head and B410HLF cab in for the Ampeg PF500 and PF 115HE.

Pictures and a short review will come, but let me tell you, the warm and big sound I was looking for has been found in this amp.

My back will no longer suffer too! :)

I don't often put pictures up, but I'm really pleased that I've finally got a set up that can amplify my acoustic bass.

Also works with normal basses and small speakers.
