ianSB Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 i saw a bassist have one on his board i didnt get chance to hear it though has anyone got one and is it any good for bass as its says guitar wherever ive looked Quote
joegarcia Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 Love my old Rat on bass. I have an easy mod on mine which smoothes it out slightly and brings out the low end a bit. I tend to blend it with my clean sound too. Quote
GarethFlatlands Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 Love mine, especially modded to use the old LM308 chip as per the original Rats. I think Caleb Schofield (Cave In, Old Man Gloom) uses one on his board for bass along with a Fulltone Fulldrive. Quote
cocco Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 They are awesome! I also like the Marshall guv for bass. Mine is modded though. Quote
EskimoBassist Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 It's quite prevalent on the first Does It Offend You, Yeah? album. Whenever you hear a bit of grind it's a stock Rat going through an SVT and Fridge, same story live, check "Let's Make Out" for a good hear. On pretty low gain but it sounds nice. Quote
ianSB Posted September 16, 2010 Author Posted September 16, 2010 what modification would i make to the pedal to make it more smooth ? Quote

fxpedal.co.uk Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010
buy a muff if you want heavily compressed fuzz
The RAT is a distortion rather than a fuzz pedal. It seems to be a love it or hate it pedal on bass. If you want to try it out, we've got them in stock (at very competitive prices ). Quote
